Over the door organzier

How many actually use the over the door organizer? From what I can tell from pictures there are storage selves on the mirror in the bathrooms.

There are many threads discussing this. Just more junk to pack to me, but many people seem to use them.

I completely agree with the previous poster. I have been on 31 cruises and have never found a use for the over the door hanger. You have lots of more important things to think about.

If you are on cruise of one or two weeks I would not bring it with you.

If you're going in Carnival, don't bring one unless you have one without hooks. They recently were banned due to damaging the walls/doors

Never used one and never missed not having one. There is enough storage on board IMO to make them unnecessary.

Great! I wont bring one! Save the room in my luggage for more important stuff

And store your luggage under your bed. Make sure to keep access to one and use it to pack dirty laundry each day, then when filled go to the next. All your luggage and direly clothes stay out of the way and by the last night you are 90% packed.

3 women one balcony cabin and STILL no need for one of those things. I honestly don't understand why people bring so much junk that they would need a place to use one.

I guess I am the only one that loves it. It keeps everything we need at easy reach without the clutter. I would not think of cruising without it. To each his own.

Agree and use mine. Got it at the goodwill with deep pockets and hang it on the back of bathroom door with those removable hooks that do no damage. It keeps toiletries off the counter and at your fingertips. Works great for us. Different strokes for different folks!

Never used one on any line I've been on. But, I've only been on Carnival, NCL, and Princess. There has always been plenty of storage for me. And, as stated earlier, just more stuff to drag along.

Never took one, never used one, never missed one.

 

Travelled once me, the gorgeous Mrs Gut and our daughter (at the time about 25) now if ever there was gonna be too much junk in the bathroom, this'd me it. Still had enough space for all their junk.

We have been on over 140 cruises and some were long cruises.

My organizer has to metal supported holes. No hooks just the holes.

I bought the removable wall hooks that people buy at xmas to hang stuff w/o damaging walls or doors. Easy p easy!

When I was new to cruising I got one because of suggestions here and took it with me. Never unpacked it. I've never needed one and haven't missed it.

I have never had a need for one with 2-3 people in a cabin. Haven't sailed with 4 in a cabin though, so don't know if that would change my opinion.

Have to admit I loved ours on the last cruise...I actually have it hanging now to organize some of the things we plan on taking, so I'll just pull it off the door, fold it and pack it flat. I don't think it takes up much room at all, and love having a place to organize things off of the counters and easy to see and find. But as someone else says, to each their own...

I take mine on every cruise! It's great for curling irons, hair products, sun screen, etc.
