Wes, Larry said you are good looking as ever.

I believe those nasty snow snakes found in Colorado and responsible for making me fall and tear both MCLs on two separate occasions have somehow found their way to Norway and are actively seeking out victims.

A word to the wise, they are extremely difficult to see, but you can hear their slithering sound AFTER you have fallen.

Speedy recovery.

Pamela1/Pam, flossie009/David & Susan, TLCOhio/Terry, Silver Spectre/Mr. Silver, Spinnaker2/Candy; thanks again for your cheerful recovery wishes.

Candy, pls pass our warm regards along to Larryo. Believe the Norwegian weather gods are now crying as we are having their tears flowing on us. David/Susan like the alcohol induced pain killers best--esp the Ridge Zinfandel :)..Seriously, am in no pain just have these "raccoon eyes and a very swollen snoz".

Could smell reasonable well with one functioning nostril the full bodied Aussie Shriaz we enjoyed in The Restaurant for lunch. Most likely will have either a Calif Cab or Ridge Zion for dinner at the Grill tonite--our first dinner outside--it is now 75F/23C but cloudy (Tears have stopped :)

Am guessing the right bridge of my upper nose is fractured but most likely will pass on seeing a ENT in Bergen following Dr. Rachel's and my Google MD's advice to see a rhinoplasty surgeon once I return to ATl next week. Also, am checking with our renowned Emory Pituitary Center Directors Dr. Oyesiku and Dr. Ioachimescu (we have known them intimately for the last nine years) for their counsel as well.

Ida are now in Trondheim enjoying this pretty city--one of cleanest cities we have visited. As you see in the snaps taken below of tree lined wide Monkgarten Avenue. We stopped by the Niadros Cathedral and noted the architecturally unique gray facade (ida is standing in front). Ida toured the cathedral and enjoyed this special place of faith. Next we headed to Trondheim's famed red Old City bridge. We also ran into the Silversea Silver Wind Guest relations manger and a fellow Silver Wind colleague also enjoying The Old City Bridge.

We headed down kjopmannsgata street now famous for warehouses turned into Stores, Bars, and restaurants.

We took a few pictures of the Colorful wharfs lined with brightly colored traditional Norway homes.

Yes, our short visit to Trondheim city center confirms what our Silver Wind enrichment lecturer stated, "Trondheim is one of the prettiest Norway cities."

Wes, from my (now old) ER days, as long as there isn't a septal hematoma inside, you can defer evaluation for the fracture until you're home. So if the staff in the clinic took a good look up there you should be fine. Good luck!

Brave of you to post that picture. The raccoon eyes are very superficial so nothing wrong with the orbits. More good news.

BTW, Trondheim and Ida look beautiful. You are a trooper for going out and posting in your condition!

Wes just echoing all the other good wishes and also what a real trooper you are for continuing to be so enthusiastic and active on your cruise. You continue to keep us all updated with posts and photographs.

Hope you have some good pain relief on hand too.

Take care, Jean.

Thanks JP and Jean, darn just love to share our Silversea cruise experience despite the minor med condition. With that in mind pls enjoy some of most beautiful sunsets (at 10:15 pm) that we have enjoyed while enjoying dinner (well desert & decaf capuchinno's) at the Grill on the Silver Wind.

Btw, heard back from my neurosurgeon (Vice Chair of Emory Univ. Neurosurgery department) he wants me to see a ENT specialist soonest--so Bergen will be consumed with a med consult. Spoke with SW doc earlier tonite, SS's Norway agent in Bergen will take care of our transfers to/from the SW. Will share our experience so other SS cruisers can learn from our experience.

YES, Wes, recognize and appreciate all of these pictures from wonderful Trondheim that you included. Brings back nice memories from seven years ago when we were there on the Silversea Silver Cloud to see each of these same locations. Keep 'em coming!!

Great pic of Ms. Ida this evening! After seeing all of Ida's great outfits and shoes, Mrs. Stumble is asking me to up her luggage allowance. I told her Ida gets everything into a single bag.

Also, the ocean looks like a lake tonight. Remarkable how still it is.

Spinnaker2; you're welcome when we both saw the beautiful sunset while dining @ the Grill (thanks Manalo our server from Manila and named after his father for pointing the sunset out to us as we were finishing simple superb grilled grouper (Wes) and filet mignon (ida).

Wellseasoned/Dieter & Debbie; via Venetian osmosis we learned our positive "tude" from like minded cruisers like Debbie, the Emtbsam's and you.

Emtsbam; would have been very helpful to have Bob and you apply your EMT skills after my fall--wish y'all were there too.

TLCOhio/Terry--thank you again--as you know so very well with you robust cruise threads--we do so because we simply love to share.

Stumblefoot/Brian; and remember one of Ida's suitcases is for her 23 pairs of shoes (that RachelG says are not enough :)). It has felt as tho we have sailed on a lake the last five days, nearly perfect sunny weather. This cruise is bar far a visual feast of enjoyment--like no other cruise we have been on.

Rachel, what u don't know is my neurosurgeon had to break by bridge to perform brain surgery (endonasal pituitary addenectomy) nine years ago, so he is being cautious. And we vividly remember you cruising with Ida and I from Singapore to HK in February being a super trooper with your hurt wing (can't remember how many screws you now carry in your arm)

Now for today's early morning post before power walking with this beautiful Norwegian coast as the setting.

Good Morning Molde, Norway.

Credit to Silveresea Silver Wind daily newspaper, "Molde, the "Town of Roses" is a city and municipality in Romsdal, Romsdal county Norway. The Fannefjord and Moldefjord surround Molde, and the city is located on the northern shore of Romsdalsfjord.

Molde is the administrative center in Romsdal County as well as the commercial hub of the Romsdal region. Molde is an old settlement that emerged as a trading post in the late-Middle ages. Today, Molde encompasses most branches of employment, from farming to fisheries through industrial production, to banking, higher education, tourism, commerce, health care and civil administration.

Molde' cold clean costal waters and fertile land offer a wealth of sumptuous dining options. A mong the local favorites' moose, reindeer, hare, fowl, salmon, cod and shellfish. Activities you will find the Molde residents active in are: bicycling, golfing, hiking and walking, horseback riding, hunting, and Mountaineering.

Today, Ida and I will take a Silver Wind Excursion titled, "Atlantic Open Road." We will explore the

Splendor of the Norwegian Atlantic coast along Norway's renowned Atlantic Open Road. The Atlantic Open Road is one of the World's most amazing coastal drives that opened in 1989 and voted Norwegian structure of the 20th century.

Please enjoy a day in Molde, Norway (The Town of Roses)with Ida and I.

We had a terrific time in beautiful, clean, friendly, chock full of Rose Gardens Molde.

Wes began his 90 min jog tour with a visit to the Romsdal Folk Museum. An exceptional open air folk (Norway's largest) Museum with children and adults in Norwegian dress among the grass laid roofs representing the types of buildings, interiors in the whole region. Wes ended this visit at the top of the Romsdal view point.

Please enjoy some Romsdal Folk Museum snaps:

Next Wes headed into main street Molde and found Plassen (The Place in Norwegian) and a theatre, library, open air amphitheater that was the center of gravity for last week's annual & renown Molde Jazz fast that was attended by over 100,000 jazz aficionados.

Continuing Wes found the famed Woman of Two Roses statute, then multiple gorgeous flower gardens that dotted Molde's city center. Next was a visit to the Molde Protestant Cathedral consecrated in 1957 (three story block bell tower) and again another beautiful rose garden.

You begin to understand why Molde is known as Norway's town of Roses.

Wes then jogged past the Silver Wind and ran (literally)inside Akers Futbol stadium where he

Snapped shots of the Molde Championship soccer team practicing and doing indoor cycling, tho they placed 4th out of seven teams at the top tier of Norway Soccer.

At the end of this morning run, Wes found the most sought after hotel in Molde, the Scandic.

Ida and I enjoyed a fantastic early afternoon excursion, called the Atlantic Ocean Road. Few places on earth can bring u as close to the ocean as this architectural marvel that connects eight islands on the outskirts of Molde, Norway. Here, at the Atlantic Ocean Road, you can feel the wrath of winter storms or as Ida and I did today, enjoy the summer sun. Please enjoy a few pix from today's AOR excursion. First this enjoy a snap of Ida and I at one of Molde's top six highlights, the Varden view points (pls note the Silver Wind in the background)

Glad to see that injuries are not keeping you from adventuring! I think we need to see more pictures of Ida's shoes, tho.....

I am currently starting to pack for our upcoming trip on the Whisper and have informed my DH that 23 is the minimum number of pairs of shoes allowed. So far he is skeptical but he's not the one packing [emoji6]
