You are a brave man; does SWMBO read these threads? And does she know what that means? I would be a roasted duck if I referred to Lynn with that description.

She is well aware of it's meaning and enforces it too. 🙂

For the uninitiated like me SWMBO means. ?..something to do with spouse I suppose.  I have heard of DW and DH on here but not SWMBO, sounds almost Zulu language.🤨

She who must be obeyed, or the other variation is She who will be obeyed.

Thanks Lyle, heard that quote, used it myself on the very rare occasion, but I could not work out the acronym.

It seams to be a saying we blokes use when well out of earshot of our spouses, often as an excuse for not making it to the pub for brews.

The really strange thing, which still perplexes me, is why a product I could eat with no problems suddenly caused a reaction.

That is is billion dollar question to all allergies😂. Cracking that problem is one of the holy grails of medical science. So far touch wood I have been lucky not to develope any permanent allergies. I had temporary allergy for about a year and half to sunlight, coudn't wear T-shirts even in summer. I was about to throw out all my short sleeve shirts till one day I realised I'm sitting in the sun and my skin is not itchy. Apparently it is pretty common to have temporary allergies, no one knows why it comes and go and the allergy specialist said just consider yourself lucky, which I hundred percent do🤗.

Uncle Les are you having a bit of disaffected personality disorder mate? that's the third different avatar in as many days. Although that is a pretty nice scooter.

Mid life crisis Lyle, I would never hang myself, I would change my mind.  I am contemplating selling up my big house and get something smaller, but I might change my mind.

This avatar is better anyway Les, the last one looked like a Benny Hill skit

Yes, that was Dick Smith a self made multi millionaire Aussie Electronics Guru, who went into Dick Smiths Aussie made Foods, which was somewhat of a failure, too expensive, like a jar of Dick Smiths Peanut Butter was $5 and an Aldi one, same size was $2.50.  He is an activist too.  But a great Australian.  He is a mad aviator as well, have you not heard of him?  Nickname 'Clever Dick.'😁

Dick was also the first person to fly a helicopter around the world. Not a bad trick when you consider some of the distances the chopper had to go between drinks.

SWMBO

HAD a dear friend, same profession as Rumpole of She who must fam and also Rnglish. My friend’s wife didn’t drive so was constantly referred to as She Who Must Be Conveyed, he swore to his dieting day that Mortimer pinched it from him.

Not seen 'Rumpole of the (Old ?) Bailey for years, I just loved the way he said 'She who must be obeyed.' OR 'She who shall be obeyed.'  He was not frightened to say it. Not politically correct these days, probably why he, Benny Hill, Dave Allen and a few other characters are not on ye olde 'gogglebox' any longer.  The younger generation do not know what they are missing.
