We are expecting you in the Fall.

So where is all this trouble in Catalunya? Arrived El Prat 19.30, car waiting to take us to hotel at the port. Strolled La Rambla to Placa Catalunya and all appears very normal.

Anyway, board the Wind on Friday with much good Catalonia grub to try in next 36 hours!

Buenos noches.

Good morning folks, I go see the Dr (Kidney specialist) today........hoping this is nothing bad and whatever is causing the

number to spike can be nipped in the bud.

Hi Cam and everyone:)

Dr visit went ok......talked with him for about 20 minutes...started from the beginning...cancer, diabetes, meds, what I took, am taking now and no longer taking........I had to go to the lab and have them take blood and urine. Did that after

the Dr. This coming Wednesday morning I have to go for an Utrasound for them to check the Kidney/Bladder. Won't

know anymore till all the results come back. His attitude was very calm and he did say the kidney number is a bit high

but if it stabilizes then we will just watch it and continue to try and eat healthier and continue to do my walking. He did

say that the exercise is good.

Will let you know when I find out more.........but I am not going to start to stress over it.....I have already decided on that part:)

Lois, do you belong to a gym or any other exercise venue? You should! Most gyms provide group exercise classes which are good, not only for your physical well being but also provide social interaction. I do "Cardio Lite" and "Silver Sneakers" and my doctor thinks I will follow in my mother's footsteps (she died at 99) because exercise and socialization benefits every cell of your body. If I had had my wishes, I would be joining a dancing group, but, unfortunately, none in my area. Please check in into the different options in your area and join in whatever tickles your fancy.

Great if it suits you! Do you do a group walk? "Just sayin'" because exercise feeds on the social aspect...meaning you will not scale back because you will want to meet with your fellow walkers.

I walk alone around my community while listening to "sports talk radio" on the headphones:).........it takes me about

30--40 minutes to walk from my front door all the way around and back.

OH, I did forget to say I have to go back to the Dr for a follow up on Dec 7th.........

Lois, 30-40 minutes a day is a good walk. Just do it every day...well, most every day...at a brisk pace.

Hi Cam, I try for every day:)......I started this new path back in February so I have really been doing well, walking 99%

of the time since then......a few weather days prevented the walk but I do it most every day now:)........up until this

year I NEVER walked.............so may not always be a brisk pace, but I am walking.

Good luck with the numbers and the follow-up, Lois.

Hello Coolers, from Easter Island! What a cool place. We flew here today from Santiago, after two spectacular weeks on Silver Explorer.

So much to tell you, but for now I need sleep as we have tours planned for the next two days.

Here is the famous row of moai at Ahu Tongariki, restored in the mid-1990s.

And some views of the quarry at Rano Raraku. It's littered with moai!

Greetings Coolers! Temperatures plummeted overnight! It is currently 16 F (-8 C). NOOOOOOOOO!

JP...thanks for posting the awesome pictures from Easter Island! We did a drive-by last year and it is wonderful to see the Island though your eyes and camera! Enjoy the rest of your adventure!

Time to dig out the long johns here! Have a great day all!

News just in from Catalonia:

TTSs are aboard the Wind and fully fed and watered. Welcomed as old friends by several crew members who have had the misfortune to meet us previously.

I can state for the record that the Stella Artois and white wine are as good as ever. And steak and ale pie for lunch - does it get any better?

Good morning Coolers!

Cold, grey, and snow on the ground here. Handsome couple JP and Chris, and evidence of a lovely trip.

Three grandkids with us today, celebrating the oldest' initiation into the journey towards adulthood (fancy way to say teenager.)

Thirteen year olds are so much fun! A few years pass and they may be trouble.... This one today is very prim and proper and loves her ballet classes. But then, we have to brace for whatever comes our way. At that age I wasn't exactly "perfect"....
