Thanks Ron!

We actually found some of this in a wine shop in Tomar. Bought a  bottle of the red for €2.99. How could you pass up that bargain? I will await your review.

Did you drink it then refill it yourself

Tonight we're off to Black Tartan Kitchen for the March tasting menu.  We'll be dining with Chef Ian's parents.  It feels like we will be breaking bread with royalty!  😃

I have managed to finish the puzzle I posted a while ago.  Tonight I'll find out if I'm right.  My solution....

A. - FEVER (the given answer)

1. (across) A quick rest at the sugar shack - BREAKFAST

2. (down) ------ your winter blues - SQUASH

3. (across) - Time to break out of your shell - SCALLOP

4.(down) - The promise of spring never tasted so ---------- - SWEETBREAD

5. (across) - Ewe need to get out more - LAMB

6. (across) - Don't eat yellow snow - LEMON

7. (down) - Tapped out and on thin ice - MAPLE

The letters in bold are to be used to solve the final puzzle - 2 word answer - first word has 5 letters and the second word has 7 letters.  The S in clue 2 is the same S as clue 3.  My solution -

Final puzzle - Our crosswords are the lead cause of - MARCH MADNESS

Enjoy your next gourmet extravaganza!

We are nearly home after 3 days on the road (and our 10 week snowbird escape). I asked DW what’s for dinner tonight?  She said “We’ll see what’s in the freezer!”

What an awesome embarkation in Lisbon. Arrived by taxi on the road outside the Cruise Terminal at 1.25pm and on board at 1.55pm.
Annoucement that the suite was ready at 2pm. But we already were having our first drink in the Panorama Lounge.

Wow, thank you for sharing. That was excellent. Going to put it on the big screen to start cocktail hour. Besides the amazing voices I really enjoyed all the different strings.  We have been lucky enough to see Ringo Stars All Star band. Worth seeking out.

A bit of rock n roll trivia, lovie is an expert😉.  The producer Sebastian Robertson is the son of Robbie Robertson The Bands co-founder.

Suggest you move over to the Moon thread Spins started?

Or start a new one?

This is a bit more related to a specific cruise than general cooler stuff.

BTW, dunno if they’re just testing, but today Wi-Fi is showing connection via Starlink. I have premium and the Starlink is showing 10Mbps down, 2.5 up.
Eat your heart out, Les, sorry!

HI I am new to the water cooler. I am not sure if this is the place to ask my question or not - what the heck, I will give it a shot.

They are somewhat random.

Background:

We are gone 30 days in June, 14 on Endeavour ( Iceland and Svalbard) and 7 on QM2 (transportation home) and 5 in Amsterdam.

We are also booked January 4-March 15 on Nova GV South America. Mind you the longest cruise we have been on is 14 days with a one day break then 9 days. So 71 days is a huge leap for us. Minus a little bit of concern about the heat in Rio and the Amazon we have no reservations about this cruise.

I then spotted a 33 day cruise mid October- mid November Lisbon to Lisbon to FLL. I have not booked this. I am tempted too but am concerned it is too much travel (is there such a thing?) given the other bits of life.

Question:

How many cruises in one year are two many? How much time can you be away while helping your daughter plan her formal big city wedding- will start in July when return from vacation?

Thanks for helping me debate this.

I was hoping someone would ask this question.  You should take just as many cruises as necessary to use up the soap and toiletries you took home from your last cruise before you begin the next one.

Bottom line:  if you are buying your own soap, you aren't cruising enough.
