YES, great Saint Peters win last night.  Tonight's biggie game is at 8:49 pm ET on TBS with Duke facing Arkansas.  This version of March Madness has been a good year not to be a number one seated team.  Lots of upsets and fun surprises!!

Yes, the Peacocks got plucked. 😞  I just hope KS does not win. DH was born and raised in Wichita and it is always a big deal in our home. I will need a huge glass of wine if they do LOL. I am actually born and raised in Michigan.

Hi Coolers! 

 

Paris was fun as always and my birthday dinner was delicious. We arrived in Ljubljana yesterday. 

 

It's been sunny and 70F the past few days. Gorgeous weather! 

 

We arrived in Paris on Saturday and took an afternoon walk.

 

Notre Dame. Looks almost normal from the front.

 

 

But it's fenced off and inaccessible. 

 

Boat on the Seine 

 

 

We wandered The Marais district for an hour. Found a few old houses from the 14th Century. Here's one.

 

 

Sunday morning we awoke to this view from our window.

 

 

Then we walked in the Latin Quarter before breakfast. Luxembourg Gardens were peaceful. 

 

 

And Saint-Sulpice church.

 

 

We flew to Ljubljana and arrived to a beautiful day there. After checking in we explored. 

 

A dragon, one of four on the Dragon Bridge.

 

 

The river is beautiful by day,

 

 

And by night.

 

 

We have lucked out as it's restaurant week here. All the restaurants are having 3 or 4 course dinners for cheap prices. So we had a delicious 4-course meal for €23 last night! 

 

Today we had a guided tour. The building on the left was one of only a few that survived the earthquake in 1895. On the right, a fin-de-siècle construction from after the quake.

Off to dinner soon. Tomorrow, Lake Bled!

It was a bit of a climb to get there.

 

 

Next, further into the Julian Alps to Bohinj. A view of Lake Bohinj from the Vogel Mountain ski area. 

 

 

There's still some snow. Skiing anyone? 

 

 

It was a great day. Tomorrow we leave Slovenia for Croatia.

Hi JP, Happy Birthday.  We just arrived back home after the first trip in 2 years, on the Seabourn Ovation, where we celebrated Peter's birthday.  Hope your trip is going well.

 

Which Albany restaurant has the tannat on its wine list?  We have bought tannats from Uruguay and France at Empire, and Exit9 used to have a nice one from Brazil.
