You can bring 2 bottles of wine per person if you split up before the security line.... 👍🤘

Cruised out Ft Lauderdale last month and they actually stopped a couple carrying them separate. Guess better luck going threw security 5 min apart, or just follow rules. More that violate them we end up loosing benefits like them now requiring both passengers in a cabin to purchase drink package when many were sharing...

Oooo- I’ve never seen Jell-O shots at the pool on any ship.  We’re they at the bar, or at a little “pop up stand”?  Has anyone seen this on Symphony?  Can I use my drink package for them?

Same here, haven't on ships I sail...

Rum Runner flasks in your checked luggage..  work like a charm every time.   I have never once been caught.

(Cue all the RC revenue defender outrage . . . . .)

The little airline sized booze bottles mixed in with the toiletries works too 😁

It should probably be changed to one per person over 21

I can’t believe I’ve missed this for so many years!  Has anyone seen this on Oasis class ships??!!

They do. I saw them on the Allure and Oasis. They were in a cooler just like show. Above, but no sign. I saw them while waiting for a drink.

I just got off the Mariner of the seas.

Its been about 10 years since I’ve been on royal Caribbean.

The alcohol prices have gone way up.

having said that they did not charge me a corkage fee in the main dining room when  I brought my own wine and beer was about $8.

My wife would get white wine for $15 a glass which seemed high.

As for the mixed drinks we found them too sweet so we would split one cocktail and add a shot into each half so we would have half the juice/mix and 2-3 x the alcohol which made for a great drink and a shot is about 2/3 the price of a mixed drink.

I didn’t find too many drink specials but I wasn’t really looking.

The store had free tastings most nights but for $8 get a beer.

Well that is why I said use separate lines.... don't just have 2 x2  bottle cases next to each other.... that's stupid! 🙄

At all the bars on the pool deck and the bar by the Flowrider.

Ah, at every family picnic or backyard BBQ or b-day celebration or any family event with more than 10 people, my sister--in-law would have trays and trays of jello shots. Hundreds of them in all colors and flavors. Of course, over the years I might have overindulged once or twice. ....good times, good times.

Looking at the picture is making me feel......queasy in the stomach. Too many good times, too many

Hi There! Looking into doing a quick 3-4 night cruise, but without the drink package. I have always had a drink package so I have never paid attention to drink prices and specials very much. Since this cruise is short and we plan to spend more time in Nassau we decided that the package won't be worth the price, if anything we'd break even.We will of course bring on the allotted wine (2 per cabin?), but are there places on board that offer "happy hours" or specials? I remember I saw on a compass once that there were $1 mimosas in the casino from 12-1pm or something one day. I'm looking for things like this. Also, what are current drink prices like? We are looking at the Mariner for April 2019.

Thanks!!

Try yoga before you go.

Practice yoga and meditation instead of alcohol.

Could be a life changing experience.

12 plus years for me.

But if you have to have it —wrap your liquor up as a present and if and when caught explaining its a present for your significant other.

Worked many years ago around Xmas time 12 packs bud light!

You really believe all the marketing spin? 😱🙄

Wouldnt call that Marketing Spin. Loss of revenue was stopped by changing purchase requirement, plus it increasd it. Worked in Restaurant/Bar as Manager 35yrs ago when they first started self serve drink station's. We gave clear cups out for free water, reg cup for soda so we could see soda in water cups. Stopped the stealing for a product...

Many ships have a 10 drink card you can buy a few days into the cruise, it was $75 for 10 drinks which if you ordered $12-$14 Martinis was an awesome deal. The buy 4 and get 5 beers buck is not a bad deal. Drink of the day was $8.95 so like $2-$3 off the regular price. Some ships have full bottles of wine specials on the last few days, usually at the entrance to the dining room at lunch time. They offer like half price on some bottles and the send the bottle to your dinning table if you want.
