You don't seem to realize some Pinnacles sail on a ship for months at a time. They develop friendships with the staff they are not high maintenance if they are chatting with a friend. Most Pinnacles (all) have been there done that. They don't need a lot of help.

You weren't there, so how do you know what the people I am talking about were doing?  I was the one waiting and could hear the discussion.

I whole heartedly reccomend everyone read Andy's Live review from September.  35 Pinnacles, 10% of the suite capacity, ruined his trip.

Pay attention to his fascination with window seats. 😉

Thanks for the plug, Mr. Pinnacle!

It's probably one of the better, more entertaining Live Reviews I've read in a long time.....and I'm only on page 10.  I nearly spit out me beer when the bartender in SL asked is Andy was doing a live blog.

Can't wait to get to the window seats page.

How do you know I wasn't there. Don't assume anything.

Care to provide a link to the review?

I am confused about his "Well traveled" statement.   🤔

What part confuses you, perhaps some of us can help?

So, now you are saying you are high maintenance?  A second ago you were saying pinnacles don't need a lot of help.  You weren't there.

Do some "searching" the thread is hilarious and speaks volumes!!

Not sure you meant to quote me.  I have read Andy's review.  I had replied to rt who seems to be the pinnacle spokesman of the evening.

It appears several posts were pulled but it was related to this thread

Ahhh, thank you.  🙂  Totally forgot about that thread.  I guess "Most Pinnacles (all) have been there done that. They don't need a lot of help" doesn't apply to Barefoot Beach.

Didn't get any help at Barefoot beach. BTW the guy my wife had the problem with is no longer there.

I'm flattered you do so much home work. Maybe with  less computer and more cruising you can become a Pinnacle too.

You're kidding right.  You want ever expansion of perks to what level and when do they stop.  The overall perks have expanded over the last 15 years.  When I made diamond some 10 years ago, there was no dedicated DL and only got some cheap wine plus pretzels and nuts.

By the way, have you noticed the shrinking benefits offered by the airlines.

Yeah, hanging out in the Dungeon, eating nuts and tiny marshmallows.  Bad wine for free, beer, and cocktails at 25% discount(I think I remember).  Such was being a diamond on my first cruise as a diamond on the Mariner of the Seas.  In 2010.

Most evenings, there were no more than 10 people at the nightly diamond event.

Lol  What does computers have to do with pinnacle?  You have no idea what my C&A status is because it is my business and I do not need to post my status constantly as many on this thread need to do.  I cruise when I want to and where I want to.  I do not cruise to sit in a casino to earn another cruise to sit in a casino again.  If a little cheap pin is important to you, have at it.  Cruising with my loved ones and having lasting memories of those times is more important to me.

Couldn’t have been worse then a few P’s I witnessed on Presidents Cruise. Throwing wine on cruisers. Taking tables in CK without reservation because they were entitled to the CK.

And this was the only only ones I personally witnessed.

Sure.....  Troy, making stuff up is just wrong.

Throwing wine?  Spilling wine I can buy...

Oh I know exactly what they meant.  The ones on my September cruise all had prior relationships - almost every single one of them - confirmed.

Gee, what a horrible concept. Meeting friends on a ship.

I am really beside myself about all the changes. We are diamond plus and don’t get the perks the suite guests are getting. I believe they are entitled to everything they get. My frustration is we had the Royal Suite on Explorer of the Seas when it left Bayonne for 2 weeks. We thought the service in that suite would have been great. Unfortunately we were told by the concierge that he couldn’t take care of us because too many Pinnacles. So now they are catering to suites. Something is wrong with this picture. Guess we booked a suite before they were given perks and the ones loyal to Royal got all the benefits. Seems a little unfair

I have to say as someone who has only cruised in suites for the past 20 that the suite “perks” on Royal are meh. I don’t feel like I have gotten anything special on Royal.

We book suites for the size- on NCL we love the Haven, DCL we haven’t done in years but the suites are amazing with perks but in Royal? Not so much.

Sure there is free booze in the Suite Lounge at certain times , but we have never ever in 12 or so cruises RCCL cruises had a concierge reach out to us once on we are on board. They have been helpful if we sought them out, but besides the expedited debarkation , breakfast in Chops ( or CK) and nicer shampoo there are no real Suite benefits to our family.

We also have never gone in the D lounge - I’m going to venture in next two trips!

That being said . We had switched to NCL for the last 6 cruises because Royal had priced us out of suites. We have now booked 2 cruises this summer on Royal because NCL has gone insane with their prices. NCL has “ Get all 5 offers free” but their suite prices have skyrocketed to make up for all these pseudo freebies and  for much smaller quarters and ridiculously smaller balconies than on Royal

i have never felt catered to on Royal but I don’t mind. I like a big bathroom and a living room to stretch my weary self out.

i like to have a private bedroom. I like having 2 bathrooms. Royal has great suites but not great suite perks on Freedom Class and below.

the Oasis class and above perks do seem a little more “perkier” with free Voom and the Coastal Kitchen ; All day wine and beer in the SL sounds fun! My husband and I are taking our first Mega mega on Allure without kids( now all young adults ).

we’ll see if the suite is sweeter there!

2500 less on Allure than on Breakaway for a week in a suite , similar itinerary . That’s a lot froo froo drinks!

🎈🎈🎈🎈

I have the cutest patient who is 94 and wears his Diamond pin every single day. He says it reminds him of all the good times he had with his late wife on Royal. They used to dance “all night”❤️
