Hi, over the past day, I haven't been able to log on much, I'm getting an error message of:   "MySQL server has gone away"  not sure what this means, but I'm guessing the powers that be probably need to know about this.   

 

All other websites I use are loading/logging in just fine, so I believe this is a cruise critic issue, & not a 'me' issue.  🙂

When I click on a post in Unread Content or elsewhere, I get this message:

Wondering if this is happening to any of the rest of you?

I have been getting that same message when trying to access the RCI and Carnival forums, since about 4:30 CST.

 

Got here, obviously, and to Floataway Lounge.  I haven't tried any other forums.

It’s CC, not us. The site has been having problems for hours, and has been down a great deal this afternoon.

I had a horrible time posting on the Sail Away thread on HAL -- finally gave up.

 

Got all kinds of weird messages.

Yep...getting the same message when trying to access the Princess board today.  Seemed to be working one minute and then not working the next.

It looks like the cruise line sub-forums are having the problems and can't be accessed; I seem to be able to access other forums (ports of call, etc.), although it's all slow.

(I was on that same thread until it became inaccessible.)  I've been noodling around, and it looks like the cruise line sub-forums are the ones having the problems.  I've been able to access other forums (ports of call, etc.), although it's all slow.  Clearly CC is not having a good day!

Same problem, KK!  I can't get to my Roll Call.

I keep getting that on the RCI forum.  Every other forum I've tried works fine.  I haven't tried every board here, but RCI is the one I use the most and it's very irritating that I can't access it at all beyond the main page.

My Princess Roll Call is working but I can't access the Princess forum threads. I get the same message as the OP.

I'm having the same problem with the server message.  Frustrating, to say the least!
