Great views and we also have the dolphins escorting the ship out in Galveston. Love seeing the dolphins too! Also waving madly to the galveston, com Cruise Cam on top of the Harbor House hotel. I thought you had said you've only been on one cruise. I'm sincerely curious if that's true and also sincerely curious that, if true, how can you post so much? 2 cruises with another booked. So they are 100% wrong. That's a lot to be wrong by. One Disney and one celebrity with another one booked. And another after that. And then another. But I have huge experience with that one cruise with celebrity. I was there every day. The Disney one was about 100 years ago though. Actually it was about 6 weeks after 9/11. GUT2407 Posted October 10, 2019 #28 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Most of our cruises tend to leave about dinner time, so a good feed out on deck with the sun setting over Sydney Harbour bridge behind us has become a bit of a tradition for us, sometimes a burger from the grill, sometimes a plate from the buffet. Generally stay there for a few hours till we are out of Sydney Heads.

You only have to re pack it all days later. So the odd shirt might have a crease where it doesn't normally but who cares? For some odd reason I kind of like to unpack when on a ship, dunno why as I never do at resorts or hotels. As for formal nights, I used to enjoy them and dressed to impress... not so much anymore as I need the space in my luggage for my scuba gear :) lol! We're only looking for fun. So you are dragging your suitcase from under the bed and rooting around in it every time you need something? No thank you. We tend to take cruises longer than a week, and I much prefer to have my things neatly stored so they are easily accessible without getting down on my hands and knees. And while I'm unaware of any kind of formal night police on any of the lines we have sailed, I take care in my appearance, so minimizing creases and wrinkles matters to me. Of course YMMV.

Agree with that! And if someone is taking what they need each day out of a suitcase, where are they putting what they have already worn as dirty? Our tried and true for us is to unpack everything on day 1, store the empty suitcases under the bed, and at the end of each day we fold what we wore that day and put it in the suitcase under the bed. (On longer cruises we have the ship launder our clothes mid-way and repeat the process). Not only does this conveniently isolate our dirty clothes, but by the last night we are 90% packed to return home. Makes enjoying the last night very easy! And as you say, YMMV. DarrenM Posted October 10, 2019 #39 Share Posted October 10, 2019 I just throw the dirty stiff overboard. Naturally. Cant be seen wearing the same thing twice. I had to look up what YMMV meant.
DarrenM Posted October 10, 2019 #40 Share Posted October 10, 2019 I have never unpacked ever. Whether on a cruise or two weeks in magaluf. I have been known to not even unpack when I get home.

DarrenM Posted October 10, 2019 #42 Share Posted October 10, 2019 How many? Does the fact my cruises went up 100% this year and go up another 50% next year count for nothing? They are huge numbers.

I generally am happy to avoid crowds, but on the sail away it is kind of fun to be in a midst of a group of happy folks. So, we will frequently join in.
