1emerald1 Posted December 29, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2019 I just sent a request to the access department and the autoreply was from Princess/Cunard. It used to be under the Holland America umbrella. I wonder if Princess' other back offices are now in the Cunard group. Not earth shattering news, or maybe not even interesting to most, but I thought I'd pass it along.

Colo Cruiser Posted December 29, 2019 #9 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Does it matter? 🤔 Does Cunard drop the ball? Cunard and Princess share the building and offices in Santa Clarita. Inquiring minds want to know. 😏
satxdiver Posted December 29, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 29, 2019 It would appear that Carnival Corp is consolidating certain functions to save money. While the different cruise lines are operated as separate companies, they do share certain resources either by their choice or by dictations from the head office.
Rare Coral Posted December 29, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 29, 2019 (edited) Princess and Cunard are very close. They are in the same building, at one time (not sure if it is still true) my TA's Princess rep was also her Cunard rep. Once I called Princess and they answered "Cunard". Princess even sent their officers and senior staff over to Cunard to help Cunard to become more efficient. Some stayed with Cunard and never returned to Princess. This was before the re-org that put Princess into the HAL group. Edited December 29, 2019 by Coral

Like I said, I was just passing on info that was new to me but not maybe new to others.

Rare Essiesmom Posted December 29, 2019 #15 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Interesting point is that my Princess Captain's Circle number, and my Cunard World Club number are the same. EM
waltd Posted December 29, 2019 #16 Share Posted December 29, 2019 Yep there are a couple of buildings for Princess and Cunard right next to each other in Valencia Ca. Next to the Valencia Mall. I drive past it just about every day.

Probably retired. When I first started cruising, it was like he was the Captain on every Princess ship I sailed on. Very nice guy. I think this is right. At one point Princess was put in charge of Cunard to re-organize them. This happened around the same time that Cunard moved into their buildings. Does anyone know what became of APH (Andy who started as a deck cadet and moved up between Princess and P&O I think)? Here is a post from around that time: Edited December 29, 2019 by Coral

At the time we briefly met and spoke with Alfredo who happened to be on our cruise and he mentioned this to us.
