Indeed, lately we seem to spend our before dinner time cocktails out there more and more....versus going to the lounges.  😉

We love “balcony time”. On Freedom, was that really just a week or so ago?, I would sit out there while John caught up on work. So nice!

FWIW, we were asked by our hair stylist to postpone our appointments for 2 weeks as we had been “out of the country.” San Juan, St. Thomas and the ABC Islands. The groomer agreed to take Jana but met us in the parking lot with a leash, didn’t want her to be wearing her own. I passed Jana through the window and they took her straight to the tub.  I do understand the groomer because she has lung issues already and can’t take any chances. But it is a weird feeling.

Hope you don't mind, but commercials today don't grab your attention like this one. Ricardo Montalban said that he happened to be in a play in Detroit and a Chrysler executive's wife I believe saw him when they were coming out with the new "small Chrysler" Cordoba. He wanted to pronounce it COR-doba as it is Spain, not Cor-DOBA.

I tried to say it the Spanish way all week

Bell getting sanitized. We cancelled her grooming until next month

He did say "rich leather" but I don't think he ever said "rich Corinthian leather." He did say "soft Corinthian leather." But thanks anyway?

John sorry for clogging up your thread with Ricardo Montalban.

And here I thought Cordoba was just an ugly Chrysler.  I can still here Ricardo say "Cordoba"

I had a Cordoba with crushed Corinthian leather!  That car had some great power with its 400 4 barrel.  Was a very good car that lasted me many years.

That's why I said I could have spent the whole day in there. Plus there were a ton of people, and you really couldn't tell.

Lighting was the biggest challenge

Thank you for sharing your photos and stories.  We are really enjoying and excited to cruise there someday soon!

Stay well!

What was "crushed" about the leather?  Did it come from the factory all weathered and cracked?  Seemed to remember cars like that in the 70s

OH my … looks so much like my Meggin when she was wet … Of course, I had a black cairn. People would see me out walking her and they'd call out "And your little dog too!"

Your memory is just fine.

It was something I used to say to friends.  I have crushed Corinthian leather.  Just silly!

My best friends parents had a Chrysler with crushed red velvet seats.  On the trunk it had the word "CHRYYLER" in individual letters.  Quality was so bad in the 70s that they couldn't even get the company name right and it made it all the way to a driveway in Ohio.

Let's make some cupcakes

20200303_164750.thumb.jpg.f9b6bc7ec13600583e33472097a20af1.jpg

First up, the infamous puppy

Keep in mind, this is my first time ever piping, and Laura has already done it once

Just the three of us. Laura, myself, and the instructor Maricel

20200307_151216.thumb.jpg.5fd147c0eb01fe20e505322174f20c87.jpg

Level off the chocolate cupcake, cut the vanilla cupcake in half and trim the sides so it looks like a pyramid

20200307_151811.thumb.jpg.364f28b38892e9c8b22fa857384cce1d.jpg

Pipe the top of the chocolate cake, place vanilla on top, affix candy lime to the front (this is the snout)

20200307_151742.thumb.jpg.429e08a617ee2d1ada4f7fdb3cad046c.jpg

pipe the top, use stars on the back side and long strokes at the front

20200307_151729.thumb.jpg.1d6aff134ac5dca8601725b4d7b365aa.jpg

Laura is using to much frosting in my opinion

She's already starting to list

There may have been wine involved

20200307_151659.thumb.jpg.b3b069a963c63aed0684ac07da276066.jpg

Instructors work, note the tail as well

20200307_151513.thumb.jpg.c58b15a4e758465732f47955071385ef.jpg

add 4 swooping strokes to cover the candy lime and then place chocolate dot on the top of it

20200307_151635.thumb.jpg.b0087e8e5b54103c1657bdb8cab24a8e.jpg

add M&M's

20200307_151611.thumb.jpg.a255520847149bfcc5d88526798f1971.jpg

Add eyebrows and remaining two chocolate drops for the ears.

Mine are to close

20200307_151526.thumb.jpg.069e1cfa60cc55678148225c4a03412f.jpg

Pipe around the ears making points

See what I mean about to close now

20200307_151134.thumb.jpg.8e736abd23815ec7a9dd70ff244b73b5.jpg

Well, Laura got the ears right.

Hers weighed twice as much as mine did

20200307_151420.thumb.jpg.f78c9fe9b5da444a7a1edcd6dc0dcef3.jpg

All three at the end, I held my own

20200307_145922.thumb.jpg.dab8520f92e0e834ad52e4ae136fbb40.jpg

My biggest takeaway from the piping is this.

Don't hold the bag to much, it gets soft fast

Next up, Pat and I make cheeseburgers.🍔
