Cheeseburger in Paradise

Since Laura had been to class twice, she thought Pat should go with me.

Truthfully I wanted to do either the sushi class or guacamole, but sadly we never got around to it.

My crew was boring, should have gone solo to those

We had Maricel again and it was a lot of fun. We used some different techniques

This one needs 3 cupcakes, some fondant, red and yellow icing, and some more lime candies

slice the cakes into thirds, discard the chocolate bottom and save the vanilla bottom for your fries

I would have used both muffin tops for the bun, but that's just me

BTW, you should also trim the top off the chocolate cake so it's level

Dress bottom bun with red icing

place first patty on add yellow icing

20200309_144833.thumb.jpg.62dfc7c65acf818163666ccebac6db3a.jpg

add cheese (fondant)

20200309_144944.thumb.jpg.b3e3e04ed6addaee7b08967a74078ce7.jpg

more red icing

20200309_145148.thumb.jpg.819d47275b1736757d2b871c7d8ca125.jpg

second patty and more yellow icing

then add the lettuce (green fondant)

There is a technique where you crinkle it by gently pressing lines into it, but I forgot to take a picture

20200309_145240.thumb.jpg.6f9546c4994da737d3b3c0a7a5fe7260.jpg

place muffin top on, then affix the lime candies (pickles) with long toothpicks to hold it together

20200309_150009.thumb.jpg.f710cae026aeaf4d6f049c2db4b624f3.jpg

Cut the remaining cake into strips and add remaining icing for your cheesy fries

I think this one is Pat's

Other than not having easy access to fondant, this one was really easy

Bon apetit

Why were you wearing a face mask while bathing Bella?

How is Laura feeling?

We're all good. The mask was so I could hand her off to her sitter for a few days.

Wash John, don mask, wash Bell, hand her over.

Was the private cupcake class a STAR benefit, or did you just happen to be the only people who signed up?  Nice bonus if it's a STAR thing with no added cost.

STAR has classes included, we went during posted class times. I think the $35 charge scares folks away

Yes, it seemed like a good idea.

Linda is a retired charge nurse, and seems to be on top of virus control. Used to talk about MERS all the time.

One of our local Mexican restaurants are offering margaritas to-go.  I was tempted yesterday when I picked up some food from them.

Ahh...forgot about that.  We have always gone to "Margarita Monday" at our favorite Mexican restaurant, but sadly did not go yesterday.  Guess we could have done "take out" as well.  😉  But we mostly go to see our favorite waiter, just wouldn't be the same.  😞

John, your cake decorating skills are amazing!

I can say without a doubt that my $35 would have resulted in an unrecognizable frosted heap.

And I would have been sick from tasting the frosting.

I hope you have lots more photos to share.

We love “balcony time”. On Freedom, was that really just a week or so ago?, I would sit out there while John caught up on work. So nice!

FWIW, we were asked by our hair stylist to postpone our appointments for 2 weeks as we had been “out of the country.” San Juan, St. Thomas and the ABC Islands. The groomer agreed to take Jana but met us in the parking lot with a leash, didn’t want her to be wearing her own. I passed Jana through the window and they took her straight to the tub.  I do understand the groomer because she has lung issues already and can’t take any chances. But it is a weird feeling.

Sadly indeed...the world has changed.  Sigh...  😞

That was the last drink I got to have out Friday.  After early happy hour we were told that we were their last customers for a while.  They had just gotten the notice no inside dining

I would have bet on fine corinthian leather also.  Yet another example of how I can't trust my memory. 😵

Let’s see about that memory: how about...

How much are you asking for the condo? 😉

Not sure, just over 500K seems about right. We are many months away if we do.

The challenge is almost all condos down here work under a First Right of Refusal rule. The other owners can assume any contract. 3 bedroom SE corners almost never go to an outsider. And ours is really cool.😉

Sounds like they operate under CO-OP rules. Would I need to pass an interview with a board who would then vote to allow me in?

Not that it matters. It's already out of my price range.

I hope you stay if for nothing else for the great pics you post!

We'll just need to live vicariously thru John's eyes.....or camera lenses as it may be. 😁
