We are at the cruise port waiting to board. Something new for us is that we were given a boarding card. We will board with group four.
I am so ready for chow and something to drink.

Lovely photo - thank you!

On our last cruise nyc to Amsterdam they did that.  The numbers were given out in order of arrival.  It worked very well.  Better than standing in line or being pushed out of way 😜.

Absolutely. We were on board in an orderly manner

Well, we made it on board and The Corina virus can go pa’l carajo ( time to reach back to your Spanish classes).  We had a smooth embankment although they looked at every page of our passports to ensure we haven’t travelled to China on the last 30 days.

We had a light lunch to include awesome prime rib and shrimp cocktail topped off with some great tiramisu.

while having lunch, we ran into Risky, one of our favorite servers who is now working in Prime 7

after lunch, we walked around the ships and took a good look at the beautiful infinity pool.

Looks like your on your way for a fun and enjoyable cruise.  I like the idea of the boarding card, also thanks for posting about the passport control/checking as I think everyone is a little worried about the Coninavirus and how Regent is handling it first hand.

Have a great cruise and looking forward to your post.

Great pics so far and am looking forward to more. Since I absolutely saw broccoli and zucchini on your plate, your meal certainly fits the requirements of a light lunch. Well done!!

It was disappointing to see in the pictures that the buffet appears to still be self serve. Are they at least enforcing the use of hand sanitizer station on the way into the restaurants?

It was the lightest lunch I’ve had in eleven Regent cruises. Of course, TB tempted me with my kryptonite, tiramisu.
All stations were self serve. Unfortunately, there was no one at the entrance enforcing use of hand sanitizer.

Good Morning!  Today is a sea day and it promises to be a beautiful one. We are starting the day with a long walk followed with whatever we come across. Basically,  it’s a dolce far niente type of day.
We ran into a couple of rogues yesterday as we walked around the ship enjoying its beauty. This gentleman is Elvis who also does an Elvis impersonation during The Krew Kapers show:

While The Boss took an afternoon nap, I went to the pool bar and blew right through my booze quota for the day. Who would have thought that four drinks would hit me so HARD!!  I went to the emergency drill and slept through the whole thing. Of course, I got the evil eye from Pam.
Pam had her favorite drink at the Explorer bar before dinner:

We had dinner at Compass Rose, but no food porn. I was still buzzing from the pool bar. I had an excellent veal picata, lobster tail, and Brussels sprouts. I don’t remember what Pam had. Afterwards, I was sent to bed By Order Of The Boss.
Lesson learned: if you haven’t had any alcohol in five weeks and have lost some weight, start with just a couple and pace yourself. I had two wines and two Tito’s vodkas in 90 minutes and was feeling awesome until it caught up with me.

I'm happy to see that you've been holding down one of the memorial seats at the pool bar, however it isn't really necessary for you to drink all of the alcohol onboard in the first day. We truly appreciate your effort, but we'll forgive you if you just have one or two....giggle! Hope you're feeling better by now! Gorgeous photo of your beloved, btw! What is she drinking?

Keep calm and carry on!

Thanks! We'll be there in 1 month!

Interesting to see the buffets being self serve still - i thought that they were having staff serve people in light of the whole virus thing? Maybe I misread something earlier though.

Before we continue, let me tell you about our cruise  this is a ten day western Caribbean itinerary:

Great to see your live blog again.  Can I ask the name of the cocktail the boss was drinking?  Definitely looked like my cup of cocktail so to speak 🍸.

Always great to see Elvis behind the bar, he is such a lovely man and very good entertainer in Krew Kapers.  Looking forward to your daily updates, thanks, Jean.

Well today is another day, don't forget when sitting at the bar you can always say "No Thank You"😇.  I agree you'd think they would be making sure about the hand washing, that just doesn't make sense hat they don't have someone up front.  No matter what it still looks like you're both having a great time-keep up the good work and enjoy your cruise.

Thanks for the pic of Elvis.   We have fond memories of him and he is indeed a great guy.

Have a wonderful cruise.  Would love to come back to Regent sooner than later, but finances won't allow for a while.   So, for the time being we will travel with you vicariously.  Thanks so much for your enjoyable posts!

We too enjoyed sailing with Elvis. He epitomizes the quality of the Regent staff who were on board back in the day. I think we had him on the Voyager.

Is Lakshman on board.

Love your commentary and copy of your itinerary.  May I verify that you hang out in the Meridian Lounge - not the Observation Lounge when you are waiting for TB around 6:00 p.m.  Unfortunately, I gave out some incorrect information.

Try not mixing drinks ..... it helps.  I have hard alcohol at lunch but only champagne before dinner since we'll be having wine.  Would have loved to have seen you after those 4 drinks.  Would have made for a lovely photo!
