My first trip overseas was two half worldie cruises with 9 months in between in UK and Europe.  That trip set the benchmark for all future cruises.  P&O Chusan

Chusan, that's an oldie. Believe it or not I met my wife in 1970 on a cruise, P&O UK's Iberia, PNG/Fiji.  In recent years been on Arcadia, Oriana and Aurora.

Seems a strange direction for this ship to be heading unless you can shed some light on why QE wouldn’t be waiting for our cruise season? It might happen ........

The positive side of me would agree with you.

The Negative side of me is thinking that Cunard is going to do what Norwegian Cruise Line and Dream Cruises have done and pull out of Australia for this summer and try again in the 2021/2022 session.

Yes, that's what I suspect will happen. Annoying for us as we've got a really good deal on a balcony guarantee for an Auckland to Sydney cruise end of January. Ah well, at least the deposit was lower than usual, 5% instead of 10%, so it's not much money involved. With a bit of luck we will be able to transfer the booking to a 2022 sailing.

I don't imagine there in any chance in the world of a cruise season happening in Australia this summer.

I am interested in the Golden Princess as it is scheduled to transfer to P&O Straya. Vessel Finder has her leaving Manila Bay and arriving in Port Klang on the 10 Jul 20. Interestingly Princess has removed her from their website. The question is, will she end up at P&O Straya?

Here is the Bridge cam.

Carnival said on June 18 they are going to "transition" six ships  from their fleet. Just sayin'.

Transition ? Wonder what that means ?

Transition;

The process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another.

Hong Kong ? That’s interesting . Evacuations perhaps ?

A couple of million hong kongers have been offered re settlement in uk and i believe SCOMO has invited a few here. That is a few shiploads. bit far for ye olde star ferries from hk harbour.
