I normally go June, July but because of my new job I booked for September for next year and I’m pleased I did! Or £450 balcony for one week to Bilbao and others next April Bargain, if it goes/if it goes without a hitch

We are in Lanzarote then, May is a possibility, but then Alaska in June. March could work.

Love all fish, shellfish and crustations, lucky you to have access to really fresh scallops. Hope all goes well for you and the knees are fine.

I hope you have a good day tomorrow, and look after those joints. Avril

There are no driving restrictions in England but if there were I could always drive 10 minutes to our nearest beach to test my eyes🤓. The only difference from elsewhere is you cannot mix socially anywhere indoors with anyone who does not live with you.

Same here for the whole of Scotland, you can’t have anyone to the house but can meet outdoors in the garden or a park. Given that is heaving down with torrential rain, blowing a hooley and cold the garden is perhaps out of the question! It has hit the self catering holiday industry as at first they cancelled bookings with more than six and now they are checking that it is just one single household in any booking. It is going to hit a lot of families if still in place for the October school holidays (though we will probably be in lockdown / circuit break or whatever new name they dream up for it next by then if things don’t improve).
wowzz Posted September 30, 2020 #6366 Share Posted September 30, 2020 Pouring down with rain, and a strong wind buffeting our rented caravan here in Devon. Went out for lunch in Colyford - fresh hake on crushed potatoes with broad beans (normally a vegetable I detest) washed down with a pint of local bitter. Stopped off at Tesco for a few bottles of red wine, back in the caravan, electric fire on full blast, plenty of 50 p's for the meter, and we're set for the rest of the day.

Rare Eddie99 Posted September 30, 2020 #6369 Share Posted September 30, 2020 Yup - the SW is wet today. ☔️ Pup had her 2nd injection this morning - thankfully before the rain started as most of the vet consultations seem to take place in the car park. Arrive, phone in, vet comes out to chat, takes poochie in for treatment, brings poochie back, phone in to reception to pay by card. Sorted! Walkies start 1 week today. Whoop de doo We’re having a carry-out from the caff round the corner tonight. Pork stroganoff followed by blackberry and apple sponge and custard. Whew. Which of us will draw the short straw to walk round and collect?
Rare Vampiress88 Posted September 30, 2020 #6370 Share Posted September 30, 2020 Raining here now but only badly since 4. Cooking a curry tonight. my cranberry salmon and dauphinois on Sunday were excellent and the bread and butter pudding and cinnamon rolls were a hit. I feel like I’m on a roll but I know with my baking it will come crashing down soon. Hubby finished The patio. Need to do fencing tomorrow and then get it returfed. you’d think there wouldn’t be much to do to a new build
Josy1953 Posted September 30, 2020 #6371 Share Posted September 30, 2020 We have had rain all day but not really heavy until lunchtime. Has anyone got a spare wig? I have no hair left because I tore it all out talking to our "Personal Cruise Specialist" at Princess to try to sort out our booking after they swapped our cruise from Crown Princess to Sky Princess
