Had my surgery yesterday to widen the margins after the surgery last month to remove the melanoma. Highlight of the day was the wonderful care by the nurses and the delicious raisin toast post op.  Haven’t had raisin toast for years (like someone on this thread, no-one in my family likes raisins or sultanas)

Raisin toast was my favorite as a kid.  Haven't had it in years.  I've started telling people about the benefits of dried grapes.  It's all about raisin awareness.

Daughter kept me company on the sofa last night. She was prepping for a colonoscopy.
7.30pm “mum, I don’t think this prep is working”

9.00pm “mum, do I ring the hospital in the morning to cancel because this is not working”

10-11pm “Omg. This is the worst”

DH took her to the hospital this morning for the procedure.

Enjoyed it again, thanks for posting it. I seem to remember one with CLR, though 😕

The Harmony video was definitely their best, although I also enjoyed their Navigator video with CLR.  Three kids in a span of 5 or 6 years must have changed Chase and Jenny's priorities.  Hard to believe that was 5 years ago.

My distant cousin's granddaughter Genevieve (baby Ginny) was born prematurely with a heart defect as well as another medical problem 6 months ago and has been living in CHOPs (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) since birth.  Recently, they found out that she has Noroblastoma, and has so far been given two rounds of Chemo.  Ginny is scheduled for her heart surgery tomorrow morning.  Prayers for her successful surgery are most welcome.🙏

ps...CHOPs is where baby Kennedy was treated.  His mom posted a picture last month.  He is beautiful!

Prayers for Ginny and her family. One of my daughter works in a children's hospital as a Child Life Specialist and her twin is an Oncology nurse. They have both said, in the past, that they send patients to CHOPs because it is one of the best in the country.

Maryann, Hila or Heela (not sure of the correct transliteration, if there even is one) is now walking slowly with the aid of a walker.    She goes home every weekend to be spoiled by family. Her mom, my niece, is a great cook.  Remember, Hila is  only 15.  Every picture, every video, she has a big smile on her face.  Thank you for asking.

That is wonderful to hear Hila(Heela) is doing better every day.  It must be so nice for her to be able to go home on weekends.  I'm sure that helps with her recovery being surrounded by family.

Hi all.  Off Quantum today and about ten days behind on this thread, so will catch up over the next few days.  Alaska was gorgeous, weather was great, COVID *&%$!  I am now stuck in Seattle isolating with COVID while DH flies home.  He has no symptoms and has tested negative multiple times.  Many escorted off today with COVID. Man taken off in Victoria yesterday to hospital with really bad case of Norovirus.  I wasn’t off ship until almost 11am! Who knows when boarding started today as more came off after me.

Sorry to hear this.  I hope your symptoms remain mild and you are able to fly in a couple of days. Hopefully you enjoyed most of the cruise before going to quarantine.

Sorry to read this & hope your symptoms are mild and over quickly.  It sounds like you were able to enjoy Alaska and some/most of the cruise?

That sucks !!  Did you have the option of staying on the ship and quarantining on it  or did they want you off? Any idea how many others on the ship were positive too. Did the Captain make any announcements? Could you tell if the crew was short handed with other positive crew members?

Is Royal covering the cost of your hotel and food? Are they assisting you helping you get another flight home when the time comes?

We are in full Cruise Mode here!  I'm an Activity Director (Cruise Director on land) for Retirees, we're having an "Enchantment Under The Sea" themed SENIOR PROM this Friday! My house has turned into a decorating factory!

In the meantime, we all completed the online check-in for our cruise this weekend!  We're giving the cruise to my 9 year old niece as an "end of school year" present, and we're telling her this weekend!  And I reserved my favorite zipline!  This time I'll actually remember to put a new memory card in the GoPro!

Sent two of our cars off to FL today. Our tenant has agreed to meet the haulers and park the cars in the garage until we get there next week.

@Jimboyou asked me to reply here about grandeur. I've posted quite a few reactions on the belle thread. Dont really follow here. The crew was overwhelmed in many ways. Some not their fault some poor planning. It was more like a carnival than  rcl cruise with many carnival newbies. Lines and groups. Drawings made me worry they were covid spreaders.

I'm a marked woman. I bet they were glad to get rid of me. I got into it 2 out of 2 times with a waiter and talked to her supervisor who wouldnt fix the issue so I wrote to the address I had. Boy did I get some attention. Seems they are used to quiet UK types and 600 to 800. Even our diamond ambassador said Texans are loud but with a lot of energy in a good way.

We ended with a big storm bringing us into texas. Lady crew in breakfast this morning even was worrying what they will do with 500 kids onboard this summer after kids sale free booked up the ship. Overwhelmed as in a sea day lunch waited and waited for meat, then they were totally out of silverware, sharing napkins, having to eat with fingers. No clean places to eat. They promised rheyngot more salt and pepper shakers coming in for WJ. We Texans been working on getting them to put ice in drinks. Seems they dont think people want iced drinks. This is texas not europe.

Both my cabin stewards were fantastic, dining just needs more help. Period. First night dinners typically have been 2 hours. One couple anytime said they walked out after 2 1/2 hours and still didnt have dessert. We ran about 75% brand new to rcl each leg. Tried the pizza once and it was awful.

Yes I'm home now. Getting a little energy back finally. Rcl needs more staff. I wouldnt pay current rcl prices to do that ship. My cabin steward summed it up what do you expect 70% staff and 100% pax. Of the higher loyalty level folks who cruise more, not one said they would do that ship and cruise again. Not one. Ship is adapting to us rowdy texans. Drink machines always out of ice. The one ice machine outside buffet permanently broken. It's not even really summer. Lol. But its changing. When I first got on no drinks the crew sat out had ice, now they are putting it in water and iced tea and some others sometimes. Crew said to me but putting ice in ahead of time waters down the lemonade and punch. .. we are like we still want ice. We also want coffee. The coffee line was ridiculous at the coffee bar. Glad I could use diamond lounge. They just need more crew period. You cant just cut off the line for lunch at WJ. It's not like there are really other choices where they all can just go.
