As more grandchildren arrived, I continued taking pictures, of course, but only filled one album for each child, but have so many pictures that I never found the time to put in the albums for them. I keep thinking it will get done and present them to the kids, but so far, it hasn't happened. They all love looking at their baby albums. I have baby albums but also have slides of my daughters when they were babies and VHS tapes of them that my granddaughters love looking at.

Found out yesterday that our CA grandson has the flu. High temp and other symptoms. And, of course there is a nationwide shortage of Children’s Tylenol. Daughter-in-law was able to find the last bottle of a generic brand, out of dozens of stores she checked in the Bay Area. I know we have a shortage here, but we did get a bottle when granddaughter was sick. Hopefully he will be over it by the time they fly to meet us. Next, Ricky was playing with a door this morning, and managed to get his paw stuck and injured it. So he has been limping around, and is off to the Vet soon to get checked out. Just more things to put stress on Christmas travel plans. Hopefully your grandson will get better very soon.

The crew will have to get use to her very different style from Lee. I actually prefer her to a grumpy guy. I recorded last nights episode and have not yet watched but did see it was Capt Sandy as replacement. i don't think Chef Rachel has ever worked with Capt Sandy. Will be interesting to see if they get along as well as she does with Cpt Lee Edited December 20, 2022 by Sunshine3601

Minnie (aka Denise the Menise when she was a kitten) is two. I put the sedative in both their food. Only Minnie ate some. Got them in the carriers and off we went. Diana immediately began to meow. I figured she’d stop. Forty-five minutes later when her meows had changed to heartbreaking cries we pulled over and George put her carrier on his lap. She quieted down and only made the occasional comment. Meanwhile Minnie was so silent we had to pull over again to check on her. I had the carriers covered with a sheet as I’d read they felt safer in the dark. In our case it would have been easier to check on them if we could see into their carriers. We pulled the sheet off Minnie who was calm and quiet until about the last twenty minutes (Are we there yet?!) and began to try to break out but stopped when we told her to. Once in the house they explored some but spent the evening on the sofas or ottomans with us. Slept on the bed as usual with us. Don’t know what they’re really thinking…but I know both are thrilled they weren’t left behind again. Minnie kept coming up to me and rubbing her head against my legs all evening in grateful loving appreciation. Now all I have to do is unpack a million boxes. Thanks so very much to all who offered me advice and support during this move!!! Happy to hear everything went well with your move and the kitties move. Have a blast unpacking and the kitties helping by checking out every box😃 1

Yes Millie. That was their "baby" before Finnley. They love them both. Here is the Christmas card we got of Kenzie and kids. It was taken at Lakeside this last summer. Here's Kenzie dancing in her sister's boots. 22

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted December 20, 2022 #81064 Share Posted December 20, 2022 Kindness of strangers - my friend’s sister had her second round of chemo this week. She explained to the hairdresser in the salon through a lot of tears and sobs why & what she needed done. It wasn’t her usual hairdresser as she couldn’t get an appointment so close to Christmas. New hairdresser was extremely kind and gentle. When she went to pay, he said no need. Another customer in the salon paid for you when he was paying for his as wife had been through the same experience. 20

My two granddaughters are just recovering from an ear infection-and resulting search for a pharmacy with Amoxicillin in stock (another shortage). The other one had flu-like symptoms, fever, etc for 3 days with negative C19 & flu tests. She finally turned the corner in day 4. 1 hour ago, aussielozzie18 said: Kindness of strangers - my friend’s sister had her second round of chemo this week. Rare Momof3gurlz Posted December 20, 2022 #81069 Share Posted December 20, 2022 Okay Kracken fans. I’m trying out 3 cocktails, trying to decide which one to serve Christmas Eve. Tonight is experiment #1, the Fig Dark & Stormy. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I did all my grocery shopping today for our holiday meal. I host Christmas Eve and middle DD hosts a Christmas Day brunch. It’s Andy & I, youngest DD, middle DD, SIL, 2 granddaughters and my aunt. Our menu is: Roasted Shrimp Cocktail Charcuterie Board Prime Rib of Beef with gravy Mashed Potatoes Roasted Green Beans Carrots Au Gratin Gingerbread Cake with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting Leftover beef is used to make prime rib hash for the Christmas Day brunch We’ll all travel to PA for New Years weekend to celebrate “2nd Christmas” with our oldest DD and her family. We always look forward to having the whole family together even though it’ll be mostly chaos!
