@BonTexasNY Oh Bonnie, I am so glad that your kidney doctor appointment was not as you had feared!

@Momof3gurlz Bummed you can't do Panama but totally understand.  We are working on RI trip, probably 7/10-7/15.

Great Jen, looking forward to it!  I think I gave you my email? If not, let me know and I’ll post it here so you can send me details.  Oh, by the way, we are loving Someone Feed Phil!

I (and the rest of my family) use Microsoft OneNote.  We all have it on our phones and on our computers.  It is cloud based so whatever you enter on one device is immediately available on all devices.  I can keep some notebooks to myself and share others (or just a tab within a notebook, or just an individual page) with any and all of the rest of my family who can then add their own info to shared notebooks.  I've got one Notebook that is filled with vacation planning notes (planning ideas, detailed itineraries, confirmations for flights, hotels, excursions, etc.) from 2016.  We've got a separate notebook set up for my daughter's upcoming wedding.  I got hooked on it at work and my kids got hooked on it at school.

Microsoft OneNote Digital Note Taking App | Microsoft 365

Microsoft OneNote on the App Store (apple.com)

Oh, boy another one for me to get lost in. Y’all are making my head spin!

Micheline texted me today (while I was playing golf!) saying the hot water wasn't working.  Every time she opened the hot water tap somewhere, the Rinnai tankless water heater controller on the wall would start beeping and display an error code.  I went home and did some troubleshooting, found that the error code was from a failed temperature sensor, and called a local service guy.  He got there within a couple of hours, took the cover off the outside heater unit, and immediately saw that several wires were "cut".  A rat was making a nest inside and had chewed through several wires, including the wires to the temerature sensor.  Fortunately, he was able to splice all of the chewed wires back together.  He'll need to order several parts and come back later to make a more permanent fix.  Sigh. 😡

We had this happen with pool wiring at our previous house. The pool guy told us to put steel wool inside the housing near the wires, which worked.

Interesting. Did the app come with your phone or did you get it from the App Store?  (I have an iPhone 12 ProMax).  We have a Med cruise this September with additional days in Venice, Rome & Barcelona.  I’ll have pages of notes for this (restaurant suggestions, etc) that I could easily misplace and they’d also be awkward to carry around and pull out for reference.  An app like this could come in very handy.

On the iPhone you can use the Reminders app to create lists. The Notes app to create awesome notes, it also has the ability to scan papers/documents and store them as a note. These apps are part of iOS and should be preloaded, if not they are available on the Apple App Store

Had to google it... kept receiving "SAP [the company] collector" results 😠

Sorry, It is quite a common thing around here, but sometimes I forget how truelly world wide this group is.  I should have specified, Maple Syrup 🍁 production.   We collect sap and then boil it down.  It takes 40 to 45 gallons of sap to evaporate it down to get 1 gallon of maple Syrup.

I never mentioned before how totally scared I was to keep my kidney doctor appointment today.  I had lab work last week and results were not good.  I won't go into detail but my kidney numbers in one area are not where they should be and have been increasing (should be decreasing) for my last 3 visits.  l was in the hospital in 2015 for 10 days with kidney disease, biopsy, large mega doses of prednisone which thankfully brought my numbers way down. I was actually very close to needing dialysis. I was one sick puppy.  Thankfully prednisone and the 21 different pills I took did the trick. Today when he walked into the exam room I burst into tears fearful of what he would say.  He came over, hugged my shoulders and told me the news was not terrible, said there are other ranges that show kidney function that actually have been normal for quite a while.  So, low sodium, more water, less protein, new prescription and I was good to go.  No kidney biopsy, no prednisone (I had horrible side effects...shudder), no hospital stay.

Sometimes life can be so good!

I wish good health to all of you and your families.  The rest is just icing.

Wonderful news!

I always have an interest in hearing about kidney issues.  I got tackled from the back one day at a HS football practice pretty hard.  Went to the locker room in awful pain and urinated blood.  Oops.  Went to the hospital, four days of pain, tests, etc.  Some of the most painful procedures (Google Cystoscopy sometime) that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.  All to find that I had one kidney.  Born with one.  Not even a second ureter where a second kidney started.  Mine is about 50% bigger than a normal one, so thankfully I've never had any issues.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I love how we can share private issues and feel comfortable doing so, since all of you are friends and not strangers.

I loved how Ellen Degeneres always ended her show with "be kind to one another".  Isn't that what we do in here?

This and FOB are my comfort zones.

Glad to hear that you received comforting results.I have kidney function tests every four months because my pain medications can cause kidney damage.

I have had too many Cystoscopys .The one test that I had even more painful was a Bone Marrow Biopsy in 2015.

@Sea Dog Greg, I'm sure you have seen the news of the storms rolling our way.  The last I've seen we are both supposed to get hit pretty hard.  As I am typing this I hear thunder in the distance.   Stay safe.  I think I need to go charge up my phone before it hits.

Interesting, Royal lowered the Internet Package to $15.99 per day, but when you click on 2 devices the price of $391 is still the same.

Part of  the way Royal does the "New" Math I guess 😞

I found some info ftom Voom desk for you.

The onboard daily price is $26.99 for 1st device then $19.99 per day for 2nd device.

the $29.99 I saw is the per day discount for Diamond or higher.

So if you can live off 1 device for first 4 days then buy internet onboard for 8 or less days it would be cheaper.

But for now I recommend keeping what you bought online and see what the onboard price is next august/early September.

Ouch!  So glad you're ok.  I never had pain.  One time I said to the nurse "let's blow this joint and play hookey at the mall".  She said "if only".

Oh yes, lots of medication affects kidney function.  I can't take Advil or Motrin.  I'm sure there are others.

@BonTexasNY Hey Bonnie.   So thankful to her that you had good results.   Waiting for the results can be stressful. It's always good to hear good news happening for a thoughtful person as yourself.

Aww thanks. I wish I could thank everyone individually in here but one time I thought I copied everyone but missed one person who got a tad offended I missed him/her.  I don't want to make that mistake again so everyone, again, please accept my heartfelt group thanks and hugs.

Hopefully the storms aren't too bad for all of you.  One of the things I miss most about living in Kansas City is sitting on our back deck watching lightning and thunderstorrms in the distance.

I'm sorry I haven't posted any good pics.  Cruising with the kids is a lot different than just Eric and I.    We have been busy and enjoying everything.

Food in MDR and Chops last night was Excellent.   We have all been very happy with all our meals.

Tomorrow we go to Jamie's for lunch for  Eric's BD.

He hit for over $2k in the casino plus a nice list of free cruises was given to both of us.

The list of freebies is 12 pages long with some summer Alaska, Hawaii, Europe/Med sailings as well as some TA crossings for the fall.   Tough to choice since I no longer can work remotely.  We have 30 days to decide.

Fingers are crossed. Stay safe too my friend. We are fortunate that we have hills on both sides of us and we are somewhat protected than other parts of our subdivision that is out in the flats.
