Owen came home from school today, 2 more full days left. Then 4 days of exams/year end assignments.

Today they had the sports assembly and he showed this to us when he got home. An amazing thing to get, but for some reason Lisa and I aren’t surprised.

Last I heard it was 1 guest and 4 crew.

Probably assumptions made by the media.  The company lists their passengers as “mission specialists “, of which there were 4, and one pilot.

Much like the private space flights JB did, they trained their paying passengers.   By the way, Harding was on JB’s space flight too.

Today is national martini day, si I was forced to go to my favorite restaurant which had 3 dollar martinis , I didn’t have my usual designated driver , so I was limited to having four , bartender charged mr for three ( we get lots of free drinks here) , so

I left a 20 for my 9 dollar.martinis.

It is 81* in my office at work today so far. The A/C has been repaired a bunch of times in the last month, but it broke again last week. Parts are on order (again).

Aircon not working in an office is very unpleasant especially when it’s an ongoing issue.

The mornings have become chilly here. In our office this week, we all have our personal heaters on (in addition to the aircon) and we are wearing scarfs and warm winter clothing.

The page that I read said 1 pilot, 1 specialist, and 3 paying passengers.  Like Andrew said, 5 souls, no matter what you call them.

That's a Costa funnel , not Carnival. Is that photo shopped?

I want to thank those who clarified that my dear wife's birthday wishes were NOT don't get me anything.  Said event happened yesterday, gave her a box of Godiva chocolates and tickets to

playing in Richmond in July w/ a promise of dinner with the show.

She is happy.

Never underestimate the emotions that may arise on your spouse's 65th birthday and do get them a present or two!

"Because the ships are intended to bring the essence of Italy – the vibe Costa Cruises is known for – to the North American market, it is unlikely they will be completely renovated, or given Carnival Cruise Line’s signature “whale tail” funnel."

The concept is called "COSTA by Carnival" and is referred to as a hybrid brand that is bookable only thru Carnival platform.  The ships have "beautiful Italian-design elements, dining and retail that will deliver Carnival fun leveraging the spirit of Italy from our sister line Costa Cruises."
