Andy opened our pool today. It’s a little green but not too bad. IMG_1495.thumb.jpeg.c8478f42c6da4389604aded5f188f703.jpeg

Ellie’s ready even if the pool isn’t.

Speaking of mulch, we’re in the process of replacing all the mulch around the perimeter of the pool with small stones.  Andy’s tired of the work and expense to put down fresh mulch every year.

I also picked up a new trinket this morning.

Still on baby alert. 2 cm dilated as of Friday’s appointment.

Beautiful pool and yard, Deb!  Your pool will be swim-ready pretty soon for Ellie.  She's adorable!

Enjoy your new wheels.  She's a beauty!  Grandbaby will be here before you know it!

Couple of busy days for us.  Getting ready now to drive to our granddaughter’s dance recital tonight.  Four different costume changes for her.  Had to buy our tickets from Ticketmaster, so this must be the big time.

We are in between rain showers, so I hope it holds off till she gets inside the venue so her hair stays nice.

Enjoy your granddaughters dance recital this evening.  I sure remember the days when our 3 daughters were in dance school, and the many costumes $$  One of our granddaughters had a couple of years of dance recitals, our other two granddaughters did Irish Step dancing, so theirs were at Irish Feish(sp?)  Our oldest granddaughter Erin even went on to teach Irish Step dancing for a year or two.

Enjoy, Mark!

You should have a removable cap where the drain pipe leaves the AC unit.  It's recommended to pour a little bit of a water/bleach mix into the pipe periodically to get rid of anything that may be growing in the pipe that might eventually clog it.  I do it every 2 months when I change the air filter.  This little bit of preventive maintenance is particularly important if you live in a high humidity location.

Several years ago our HVAC guy showed us how he does it.   He takes a partially filled bottled water pours a little bleach into it, then put bottles into the opening and quickly squeezes the bottles.   He says the little bit of pressure from squeezing the bottle helps too!    He laughed about it and isn't really sure if it helps to squeeze or not but that's how he always does it.     So that's how we have been doing it!

Loving this weather....stay hydrated😊

Tomorrow we will start mulching the areas around the

Love the look of fresh mulch.  Exhausting work but the result is very satisfying.

Just returned yesterday from a quick 4 night on Navigator.  Great ship, good entertainment.  We enjoyed the dance band, piano bar guy, 2 production shows, ice show and a comedian.  It was a different crowd, younger, some were loud, D lounge was empty. The worst thing was it was cold, in the 50s and 60’s.  The solarium is open so we just couldn’t stand be be outside much.  We were in the solarium a couple of hours off of Catalina island but it got cold quickly. Did one round of mini golf.  Certainly not the Caribbean.

We drove to the port with a borrowed car.  Easy on and off with parking literally in front of the terminal without a reservation for $20 a day. Chops was very good. Hooked meh.  Enjoyed wings at playmakers. MDR hit and miss. We’d sail out of the port again and Navigator but not unless it was a starting point for warmer weather. We do cold cruises but like an enclose solarium for those cruises and we weren’t really prepared for it to be so cold.

September/October are the warmest months. And it has been very cool lately along the CA coast.

You should have seen my leg after knee replacement. It looked horrible and was really bruised. Surgeon said everything looks great. I would imagine it will start looking better soon. Hang in there. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Did you post pictures of it back then?

Many times fainting is a once and done thing and no cause for the incident is ever identified.

Thanks OB, good to know.

Trying to decide if I should pay for a cardiologist consultation privately as I did for neurologist, just to hurry things along.  Its a Bank Holiday weekend here but I'll contact the DVLA on Tues to see if they'll give me my licence back as they should of received the neurologist letter stating I can drive. 🤞

I'm 6'0" and this has been a problem for every Broadway show that I've seen.  My knees are right against the seat in front of me.  I can't imagine squeezing in another 4 inches of legroom.  These theaters were built when everyone was a lot smaller. 🤣  Are you staying at the Michelangelo?  That was a great suggestion for our stay in January...especially that Grand Suite.  Enjoy the Bar-Bill Tavern when you get to Buffalo!

Same in London. Some of the theaters are hundreds of years old and way too small for todays adults

Beautiful Sunday in Jervis Bay. DH started the day by seeing a kangaroo hopping down our street…Then we did a lovely morning walk through the Jervis Bay National Park passing by several gorgeous white sand beaches.  Delighted to see dolphins.  Had  a delicious late lunch in the local cafe.  From our table outdoors, I spotted a kangaroo happily munching the grass in someone’s backyard opposite. Then we had a little adventure in the Boodoree National Park heading out to see the ruined Lighthouse.  The Lighthouse ruins site is a great place to whale watch.  It’s only the beginning of the season, so we were delighted to see three humpbacks passing by.
