Maybe OB can find something that will pass as pizza to celebrate today.   May take a couple drinks though. 😂

Fortunately, on Odyssey, Sorrento's and Bolero's are conveniently located near each other.

Has anyone been to Singapore? Need some suggestions on what to see. We are there for four days before a short cruise on Spectrum

If you and Gary are interested in WWII history, “battlebox” at Fort Canning Hill is an underground bunker where the decision to surrender to the Japanese was made.  We had a small guided tour and it was fascinating.  Soon after we visited they closed the site for renovations.  I just checked the website - they currently have a soft opening - so there are reviews online.  Official opening next week.

Gorgeous! Jim, did your new neighbors ever finish their house? I (for one) would love to see photos and see how it came together.

House building is going slow, they are doing most of the work themselves.

Finally got roof on and windows in. Next week I think they are hiring someone to put the shingles on.

They next will be doing plumbing and electric themselves after shingles are on.

Here is a view from the end of our house at the side of their house this is a picture before windows are in.

I'll add that Singapore is very expensive.  Like London, but it seemed more expensive to me.  If you can find a reasonably priced room at Marina Bay Sands, go for it. Otherwise, definitely go up to the MBS roof, have a drink or even dinner, and enjoy the view.  I agree with Gardens by the Bay...nice area, and also dinner at Clarke Quay.  If you're into shopping, Orchard Road has everything.

A few other touristy things to do...I enjoyed riding on the Singapore Flyer.  It's like the London Eye but a little taller.  Get your picture taken so that it looks like the water from the Merlion is going into your mouth.  Kind of like holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa.  And get a Singapore Sling at the Long Bar in the Raffles Hotel where it was invented.

Have to get a picture tomorrow of the house with the windows.

Be back home late tonight.

Just rain, rain snd more rain down here. We forced ourselves to do our Thursday outing (NYs resolution to get out more).

Went to a NT property

Hughenden, country home of Queen Victoria's prine minister Benjamin Disraeli . Weather was bad so only looked around the house and had tea/coffee in the tea room. It has extensive grounds to walk molly so will be back on a sunnier day with her

It is 4°C in North East England and it is raining.

The rain has been continuous since mid day yesterday.

I hope everyone is safe and well.

Good wishes for a wonderful day to everyone here.

Mud slide.  Not the best picture, but the straw paper is in a heart shape.

Whenever I'm in a casino, mudslide is my drink of choice.   Not sure why, maybe because it packs a punch & is filling so I don't have to leave the slots in search of food.

After a few, I have the same crooked smile as your drink. 🥴

Does anyone here no him IRL?

He's mentioned in the past that he keeps in touch with a dozen people (i think) on CC via email including 1 or 2 that have posted on this thread.

I have no idea who they are but maybe if they see this post they can reach out to him via email, if that's not too intrusive?  Just to let him know we are thinking of him.

Smart, Royal put some thought into designing the layout.

The fastest internet at sea has been very slow since last night. I'm getting frustrated.😏

Too early for Sorrento's/Boleros? It won't make the internet faster but it'll ease your frustration.

That's today's medical advice for the doctor.😁

Post a screenshot of your internet speed. I would be curious to know what speed you are getting.

I like to say that we are in Georgia, but with Florida's benefit of no state income tax. 😁

Move to Rhode Island where everything you have is owned by the thieves in Providence.

Tha National Trust is doing a great job maintaining the winter garden.  The Snow Bells look great.

Mine not so much although they are a couple weeks early. The spring like weather (high 50s F) has tricked then into an early bloom. Plus I do absolutely nothing to care for them.

I have never had the pleasure of a mudslide.  I do hope I remember to order one on my cruise next month. 🤔  I had my first (of then several) chocolate martini on our Bella cruise last year.

One of our daughters lived in St. Mary's, Ga.,  when her husband was on the Nuclear Subs there.
