CL/SL future when cruising returns.

Doesn’t it seem to you it’s mostly D+ complaining and wanting more or want Pinnacle perks?

M8

Human nature to always want more.

Problems occur when a benefit is offered and when people take the bait and reach the target like CL access when D+ is achieved and it is taken away.

Even though we don't often use the CL the principle remains the same that you shouldn't offer something then take it away because to many people have achieved what you wanted.

I get it. People love the C&A program except for #21 T&C’s. Lol

I actually like the casino program better! Ha! Open more hours for beverages. Lately, if I don't have CK for lunch and a vino, I hardly even go in the DL. It's really not that biggie to me anymore. The other thought about D+, is what the "Key" has done to it. That's a pot worth stirring. 🙂 Anyway, I'm good with all this, I just need a vacation. I thought my 14 hour shifts were over with, till Fl positives changed all that.

Nope...never had...and neither have I.   Gee Bill...I sure hope to see you 11/29 on Harmony!!  We are cabin #12654..come visit us!  Bucky wants to give you a big 'ole bear hug.  😉

I sure do love my "Bucky" hugs!! Casino gave us two balcony cabins, 9504 & 9506 (connecting). Hopefully we get to enjoy them!! Will definitely look for you guys!!

You think loyalty gives you a protection against COVID19. 😇

See, now that’s the kind of thinking we need. I’d much rather have immunity from Covid than a discounted photo shoot, early sign up for restaurants of 2-for-1 drink specials.

It's hard to tell whether it's D's or D+'s, but since I've cruised four times in the past three years in a GS on an Oasis class ship, I sure like those perks better. Ha! Now, do I deserve the same perks since the other eight times I was in a standard balcony room just because I'm D+? No, I think not.....but, I do deserve what is promised to me and not have it taken away. Correct?

+1.

Spent 12 years in the wine business as distributor.  When I would teach wine classes to the waiters for my restaurant customers, the shy and timid young waiters were intimidated by me at first.  I got their approval, getting them to relax, when I told them I used to drink Boones Farm wine when I was their age, then graduated to "jug wine" from Gallo, before I learned to appreciate a truly good wine.  I was now a member of their club.  😉

Bottom line is the golden rule of wine  "The best wine...is the wine you like the best".  Just because a wine drinker has a higher palate level than others...does not make it the only wine everyone has to drink.  And of course I had changed my taste for Boones Farm over the years as I grew older.  😉

Not everyone is a wine snob.  And not everyone drinks the hard liquor.

I drank my fair share of Boone’s Farm and MD 20/20.

I certainly wouldn’t classify myself as a wine or alcohol snob, but the Vodka NA on Diamond List is terrible.  The wines we drink on semi regular basis are in the $30 a bottle range.  We have tried the cabernet sauvignon on the Diamond list and it’s not that good to us. We don’t typically use mixers with alcohol. Good alcohol is good straight. A nice smooth Bourbon or Scotch.

But of course you never complain about too many Ps in the SL lounge...plus this constant angst against D+?  Nahhh..that's not complaining at all is it?  😉

Me...it's simply easier to adjust.   I could complain, and many of my D+ friends could complain (I don't have any that I know of that do), but we don't need to ...and what good would it do us? We just go with the times and make our own way.  Does not keep us from being loyal to Royal.

Grouping an entire level of C&A as one entity...is not logical.

Oh, they can change anytime they want, they've proved that........but, the changes have not effected me yet, so business as usual. Trust me, I'll let you know when something bothers me. Lol!

Yup...we go with the flow.  Much easier and less stressful that way.  😉

Loyalty should give me protection of my D+ benefits.

Washing hands regularly.wearing a face mask and visor in shops and church has helped so far to keep covid19 away.

It looks like Polly is suggesting a new future for CL/SL and how it could affect Suite passengers in future if only Loyalty Lounges were available.

I was commenting on the UDP and the DP. If those perks are made available to all suite guests it would be near impossible for others to get into the specialty restaurants. Would coastal kitchen only be available to suites and not pinnacles? Too many possibilities so I'm glad that I don't have to make the decision because there will be upset people.

And again...not everyone is you.   There are different butts for different seats.  Some man's crap is another man's treasure. There is no wrong or right in what a person likes...only that they enjoy what they do.  That is all that is important.

I almost gag when I smell a White Zinfandel...but damn...I sold a lot of that stuff to restaurants.  What is wrong with enjoying what you like?  My mother drank WZ over ice and would put sweet and low into it.  Double gag...but that is what she liked...what is wrong with that??  Try asking Laura (of John and Laura) what wine she likes the best?  😉

I see it as the opposite.

Regular cruisers should know better than to return to the floating petri dishes to soon.

It's the newbies who don't know what they are getting into that will flock

I won't until it is safe to do so and our government lift the health advisory for cruising.

Thanks for the laugh!! Oh, and you had me thirsting for a bottle of Strawberry Hill! Ugh

I know and @John&LaLa doesn’t mind NA either. 😇

And somebody has to keep all these wants in check. I have lots of friends and family too who are Pinnacle. I don’t bash P’s. It’s not their problem they have grown in numbers. I have always suggested they have their own exclusive area.
