Yay. Just printed my e-docs for 9/26 Sailing.

Yesterday the Breakaway was listed as arriving in Gibraltar tomorrow (Sept 8th). Today it's destination "not available", although thankfully she is still sailing west.

The current position of NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY is at West Mediterranean (coordinates 36.14549 N / 5.36622 W) reported 2 mins ago by AIS. The vessel is en route to FUNCHAL MADEIRA, and expected to arrive there on Sep 10, 11:00.

The Bliss is due in LA on the 6th of October so She should be on Her way in a day or two.

She spent a few days getting from Bar to Augusta, now headed to CIVITAVECCHIA.  Is there any significance to stopping in CIVITAVECCHIA?

Breakaway still heading to NYC.

 

Bliss heading to Gibraltar, ETA 13 Sept morning.

 

Escape arriving at Civitavecchia in a few hours' time (12 Sept morning).

 

Pearl is now out of Caribbean Sea, heading across the pond to Gibraltar, ETA 21 Sept.

 

Sky finally left Colon Panama, heading to San Juan, ETA 14 Sept.

 

Lastly, Miss SPIRIT's WEBCAM IS BACK ONLINE!!! After a year and a half!

I know nothing about ship movements, how they choose the route that efficiency gets them to their destination, but wondering --- Is this a strange route for the Bliss, to get to LA for an Oct sailing?

No, not at all.  They will be stopping in Miami for a few days, then going South through the Panama Canal, up the coasts of Central America and Mexico, then on to LA.
