Recently enjoyed lunch at Miguels  on a weekday. One potential problem--not much parking. No problem at time we were there, 3hrs. was 7.50. Valet would have been $18 for three hours.

we miss Anthony,s too.

The political climate in San Diego has not favored the cruise industry.  The B Street pier is many years old and the Broadway Complex was so downsized by the NIMBYs and the CBP that it is nearly useless.

I've cruised out of New York, Galveston, Los Angeles (San Pedro and Long Beach), and Seattle and their docks aren't any better.

If you want a really nice experience at a pier, stick with Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, or Vancouver.

Not sure what port you meant, but I would like to see you sail out of Orlando since it is in the middle of Florida. My favorite sail outs would be from SF, Vancouver and San Diego. But the best departure ports are Sydney, Rio and Venice. Although, from now on you would have to be on a riverboat or a small ship to sail out of Venice since they banned large ships.

The newly completed structure replacing Anthony's Fish House/Grotto has opened steps from the B Street Pier.

The main attraction is the Brigantine Restaurant; however, Ketch Bar&Grill, Miguels Cantina,

and Seaside Coffee/Gelato, as well.

Seaport Village renovation is now complete with many new shops.

The Midway Museum has reopened, too.

Now if they would just do something about the World Pier/International Cruise Ship Terminal /  "B" Street Pier facilities for embark/disembark ...... To quote Bette Davis "What a Dump!"

It's a shame the facilities are so poor as San Diego is a FANTASTIC city in which to begin or end a cruise from

Much of the public Embarcadero has been improved for the public to enjoy, not just for passengers boarding a ship.  The inside of the terminal building, which is not used every day, is a lower priority.

Looks really nice. We have sailed out of San Diego a few times and always enjoyed our time there. Next time not until Oct of 22. Will stay at the Springhill Suites, very convenient.

   Thanks for posting the pictures.

In 2017 we had an excellent early dinner at Anthony's, then walked to Rotterdam VI, and boarded for a PC cruise to Fort Lauderdale.  Great experience.

Ifit was early enough to enjoy a full meal before boarding and sail away wouldn’t that simply be called lunch?  Lol 😂

Assuming the Brigantine is related to the one in Del Mar I would have preferred Anthony's to another Brigantine.

Yes, those two are related.

Miguel's Cocina, the Mexican restaurant at the new harbor site, is also part of the Brigantine family of restaurants.

It could have been that early but I seem to recall it being around 1500.  We were with friends of 45 years and enjoying everything - the beautiful day, good friends, good food, good wine.  And looking forward to a nice cruise.
