Where are you staying in Nassau before cruising on Adventure of the Seas?

Recommended Posts

Flying in the morning of departure.  Using Royal's transfer from the airport, hope that the Colonial Hilton is prepared for plenty of people waiting to board the ship!

For us there are 18 flights that will get us to Nassau by 6PM.  Hakuna-matata!

When i was on cruises that called on Nassau, we would rent a room at Comfort Suites to get their free passes to Atlantis. There are free things to see at Atlantis too, the casino is amazing, i was very lucky every time...

I am too, but the resort fees and taxes are

pushing it out of my comfort zone for a one night pre-cruise stay.

Right?  and we're flying in at 6pm. lol   The only direct flight

So by the time we get off the plane and get to the hotel, i don't think we'll be doing much but ordering dinner and heading to bed.

But still have to pay those resort fees hahaha

Exactly.  We get in an hour and a half earlier, but basically that just means we can head to bed sooner, lol.

I'm actually trying to figure out some alternatives to Atlantis for a Day Pass when we get off the ship.  I have several hours before our flight and $600 to hang around the Atlantis resort for 3 hours sounds a little nuts.

The Hilton you are staying at used to have a pay pass, with a large part going to food and drink credit. We did it once and would do it again. Their BBQ plate was pretty darn good.😋

Edit: Sandals used to have a day pass but that was preCovid. Not sure if they offer it still.  It is maybe half way to the airport.

I just checked their web page and they show that they do offer them, but don’t say how to book it. It is rather expensive though per person.

Another couple living on the edge for our July Adventure cruise! Booked our air through Royal and it is a one-hour flight from Ft  Lauderdale to Nassau.

We are doing the same thing except we are flying out of Miami. I was surprised that the price offered by RCI was lower than any fare I saw online the day I booked the flights.

Yes Royal Air offers some very nice prices.

We're sailing out of Nassau August 7 - I'm glad I read this topic, I wasn't aware that check in was at the Hilton.  We're booked for three days after the cruise at Atlantis (comped, so it's a no brainer) and we were going to book the Friday before the cruise at Atlantis, also, but I may be rethinking that.  Thanks for the heads up!

We are staying at the Hilton because we get the friends and family rate. With all of the taxes and fees, it’s still pretty pricey even with the discount.

We looked at Atlantis, but recent reviews have not been good because apparently they don’t quite have it all together now that tourism is picking back up again. We just want to sit on the beach and relax, so the Hilton will be perfect for us.

I've stayed here many times;  they have a good beach and pool area.  Restaurant is good size.

just booked the June 19 cruise.  flying in on the 18th and staying at an Airbnb place about 2 blocks from the Hilton.  Anyone know the going taxi rate from the airport to the Hilton?  Also does anyone know when the cruise check ins will begin since the ship doesn't leave till real late?

We ended up just going with the British Colonial.  After a long day of travel from the West Coast, we decided we liked the lower stress of being at the hotel where we will check in for the cruise (presuming that is indeed the case come August).

Staying the BCH for the night before our June 12th cruise. We have used the day pass there in the past.

Since we we have a 3PM flight out when we return from the cruise. I was thinking about the day pass there, but...

1. It's likely to be pretty hectic around the hotel due to the next cruise being processed for embarkation.

2.From what I have heard, it takes 2.5-3 hours to make it through check-in, securty and customs at the airport in Nassau for the return....

3. The price for the day pass at the BCH has gone up significantly since we were there last and it probably isn't worth it for the few hours we would be able to use it.

To our house it would have been the same pick as yours. Embarkation day should be easier too. 🤞

We’re staying at Warwick Paradise Island, an all inclusive adult only resort. It looks absolutely fabulous!  40 days to wait.

I would love to hear what you think of this AI.😀

We booked the Hilton before we knew it was the check-in location. We are very happy with our choice.

Excellent choice.  Have stayed there many times.  Location is great.

Hyatt Baha Mar.  Used points and it looks pretty nice.  Rides to and from might be a bit pricey though.

The number 10 bus takes you straight to the port for $1.00 dollar...average wait time for a bus is less than 5 minutes.
