Random questions before tomorrow's (!!!) cruise

After so many cancelled cruises, I'm believe tomorrow may actually happen and am quite excited. We've only been on Celebrity once, and it was for a music cruise charter (Moody Blues - amazing), so I have a couple questions... (we're in an infinite veranda, with nothing included)

1. Is there shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, or do I need my own.

2. Problem bringing in my own soda? In carry on or suitcase?

3. CPAP machine - is there an outlet near the bed, and should I bring distilled water for it or will they provide it?

4. Royal let us bring two bottles of wine (pre-pandemic of course). Does Celebrity?

5. We have the pretty late check in time of between 3 and 3:30 - and we only live fifteen minutes from the port so it will be a long day of waiting. Yes, of course we can eat at home first, but will the buffet be open when we get there? Its not that I expect to be hungry, but its sort of a tradition...

Can't wait. May actually start packing now.

1. Yes both

2. No problem carry on.

3. If no outlet ask your cabin attendant for an extension cord and distilled water.

4. Yes 2 bottles per stateroom . $25 corkage fee it you take it to a restaurant.  No charge to enjoy it in your cabin.

5. Not sure about the buffet but probably open.

Enjoy our cruise and don't overpack.

One more question... is there a sports bar, or somewhere where the Olympics will be on?

Typically, events such as the Olympics will be available on the tv in your stateroom.  You may receive an International feed.  It should be on in the casino bar.

There is no outlet near the bed. You are not permitted to bring your own extension cord and if you do it will be confiscated. You’ll need to work with your room steward who will set you up with an extension cord and a bottle of distilled water at no charge.

I believe the rest of your questions have been answered. Have fun!

.

We'd like to clarify a couple of answers that you have been given.

2.  The wine must be in a carry-on bag.  The soft drinks can be there too, or they can be in checked luggage.

4.  Only if you bring a wine bottle to a restaurant will you be charged a "corkage" fee.  You can obtain clean, empty wine glasses from a bar, fill them from your bottle (in your stateroom), and then carry those glasses to a restaurant -- without being charged a fee.

5.  It seems likely that lunch will have ended, at the buffet, before you get up there.  However, we hope that you would be able to get something more than just "snacks" there -- namely pizza, ice cream, and beverages.

Yes, do "start packing now"!  Have fun.

Also, in the future you should contact Celebrity in advance to arrange for the distilled water and the extension cord.  They have a special services department for that, have done that several times.

They advise 90 days before cruising, so not sure how this works for the Staycations that have recently gone up for sale on Silhouette.

I always contact the Special Needs department, as I am Dairy Intolerant, so give them plenty of time to order my Lactose Free milk.

I was once asked if I had ordered it.

The Summit has outlets in the lamp bases next to the bed (inside cabin, but I’m pretty sure they were in all cabins.). I used them for my CPAP machine when I was on it in 2019.

I am pretty sure I saw an outlet near the bed in a video posted of a IV balcony cabin on the Edge - I watched to see if I needed to ask for an extension cord.

I was on the Edge last year and I have a CPAP machine. There are a couple of outlets on the right side of the bed on the nightstand which is great. You don’t need an extension cord. Also I always order the distilled water in advance but I’m sure the steward will get you a bottle. Enjoy your cruise.

I'm not sure about Millennium but all of the Revolutionized ships I have sailed had an electrical outlet installed on the base of a lamp next to the bed that also had a USB port.    This was on Summit if I recall.

I was just looking at cruise deck plans.   This is what the lamp looked like on Summit.

I just looked at the S1 we have on Equinox.    It doesn't look like Equinox got the full renovation.   All the others I've been on no longer have the dark furniture and gone to the bleached driftwood look.

The equinox didn't get a full Revolution, only partial.

Our room on Equinox had new carpeting, new curtains, bedding, sofa, tv, etc but we had to use the outlets by the desk for charging purposes.
