Yes, 3 separate announcements.  No new protocols have been announced at the moment.  It appears X is requiring a Covid test to go on future sailings including tomorrow, KKB is on a B2B, I’d imagine she’s received or will receive B2B instructions and will report back

Thanks for replying back. Have a safe journey home.

Absolutely. We were updated each day cases were discovered.
Had COVID test this AM (seems some were found then) & I must get another tomorrow as ALL passengers r now being tested.

No major concerns. We may mask more onboard.
Will post more tomorrow.

Thanks for the update. Be safe.

My sister and BIL are boarding today, they flew down last night and found out this morning that they have to be tested to get on the ship today. Celebrity is doing the tests at the terminal for todays and tomorrows cruises at Celebrity's cost.  Both are fully vaccinated and hoping the tests today are negative, they are in a Villa suite which they got a great deal on from Celebrity.

Good write up on the week. A couple of other thoughts to share.

We had children on the ship. One vaxed, one not. I felt the staff at Camp at Sea were amazing, but all kids had to wear masks while at CAS.

the Unvaxed child got his first tests prior to embarking, it occurs in a spot away from check in, but after the test is complete the crew walks you to check in, a simple and kind gesture.

The embankment test was supposed to occur this am, but was moved to last night. There was a major issue with getting tests scheduled/ performed which I think frustrated crew and passengers alike.

there was equal confusion about having children leave the ship for non curated excursions in Nassau. We were told yes, no, and then yes again. However I learned others who attempted to leave the ship with kids were stopped.

Also, I appreciated being able to order from different menus. We ate at blu for most of our meals. My dad was able to always get a steak if the blu menu didn’t interest him. We also had our 5yo join for dinner a couple of nights and the staff was so kind to get him a pizza from the pizza shop. We really loved the service at blue!

As previously shared, disembarking couldn’t have been easier, I don’t think I’ve been so early to an airport in my life. However very little restaurant options this early in the am, so plan accordingly. While this trip had its share of Grumps and complainers, overall the passengers were kind, engaging, and friendly. Excited to sail with my family on X again in the near future.

So it was 3 over the course of the cruise, and then 5 more today with 3 of them being contractors? So 8 total. Do you know if the 2 guests today were kids or vaccinated/unvaccinated?

And true you might find more cases if you tested everyone.  But I am not sure it would even be a helpful number.  It no one is actually sick, the vaccines are working and even if there was "spread" it was not noticed due to vaccine protection.  But I think you would have a good idea if there was mass spread happening if you tested the close contacts and found many of them to be positive too.  It seems like when they have been testing close contacts, they have been negative which is a good sign that the vaccine is probably preventing spread.

Im quite certain the 2 positives were from our B2B testing yesterday AM. We observed them being escorted from the pool area yesterday.

Was to get another COVID test at 830.
Still waiting…

We were supposed to go down for checkin now…oh well

I think that’s the same ones we saw being escorted. Closer to Oceanview Entrance?

Will be interested to know about your procedure experience for your B2B as we will be doing the same 8/28 and 9/4. Thanks!

We are on BB Edge 8/28 and 9/5 in Aqua. Wondering if you could recommend a waiter in Blu? Always like to request a waiter if past reviews were positive. Thanks!

I believe it was the team of Cesador and Natalya. He is bald, she is blond and both were amazing. Enjoy your trip!

Ok got test, no issue.

W/in hour should have results & then check us in.

Illusionist got in line behind me.

Needless to say he behaved as a rude guest & not the gracious crew member he is supposed to be. Very condescending to crew & other guests.

Little do most people know, his on stage personality is his biggest illusion.

Good luck with the test and your next sailing.

Not surprising, given some of his jokes.

Ok…

Last 2 days a whirlwind of game shows, trivia.

We opted out of Nassau & enjoyed meeting people at the pool.

Oceanview had steaks grilled to order on Thursday. Dan said they had the ceviche in coconuts Tuesday. Impressive!

Ate at Cyprus last 2 nights.

Maryna not available Thursday but was Friday.
She was very busy but still an absolute gem.

Thurs:

Blue cheese soufflé (great!)

mushroom risotto w/ lobster tail, also great

Fri:

Greek cheese appy (yummy but FILLING)

Wedge (solid)

Sea Bass (MY FAV)

2nd silent disco was even more fun!

We had the BEST time with the activities staff, but we really got to know Crystal on our Cozumel excursion. She called us Mom & Dad the rest of the week. She is a true gem!

This trip has been a JOY!
Our friends were a blast to sail with.

The ship is stunning—service & food SO good.

The delay for testing today was our only hiccup.

I cannot wait for Mom to board & get round 2 started. Might choose to wear a mask more & THATS OK!!

I'm confused by the itineraries... Is the 7/31 itinerary going to the Eastern?  8/14 and 8/28 show as Eastern and 8/7 and 8/21 show as Western.  But 7/24 already did Eastern???

7/24 was Western.

Was told by retreat concierge that they were not going to test at the port for vaccinated guests. I assume you have been fully vaccinated and they did test you at the port. Please confirm that is so.

Last evening an email went to all boarding passengers that everyone would be tested at the port.
VERY last minute—I suspect due to last minute cases from Friday.

I think you were tested on the ship since you’re doing a b2b. My concern was as a newly embarking passenger and whether they would test us before getting on the ship.

Wasn't it because of the 6 covid positives on Royal and then the 7 on the Edge?
