Thanks Rich and Roy and all who make the Daily happen. Love today’s wine. They have often had it on. “Dam” ship.  @kazuJacqui I admire your strength, tenacity, and your willingness to go the extra mile. @smitty34877,!Terri you  are a rock for Tana and her son. She’s so lucky to have your care and love.
@grapau27Graham, thanks for the sermon. We took the same boat on the Sea of Galilee in 2014. No waves but it was a lot of wind.

Good afternoon from Dominican Republic. We are going ashore to get some Brugal rum and cologne for John.  I greatly miss my cats who lived long healthy lives.

The drink has too many unknown flavors so just the bourbon.  Cherry pie 100% yes maybe after a glass of Shiraz.   Never have been to Norway.

Yesterday we met Rob and Mary who will be on most of our Grand South America cruise. Nice to have met someone before we board.

Prayers to all on Roy's care list and hoping Roy's cruise is going as well as ours.    🙏🌴Looking forward to mask free on March 1. I just hope the cloud of smoke isn't wafting out of the casino soon.  It has been plenty busy with no smoking.

Good morning, all.  Welcome @Kurtybee123from yesterday, don't be a stranger!  I think somebody here already said Hoodie hoo, but we are due for a little more cold weather during the week.  Sorry to hear about the Queen, her age is against her, even with three doses.  Evidently there are others in her household with Covid too. I wonder if they will tell us which variant she has.   Thank you, Graham for the Sunday sermon from Father David.

I'm so sorry to hear that Tana had a bad night.  I had two children with really bad asthma, usually in the middle of the night and remember how awful that was.

Cleanup is still going on in Ottawa, they are dismantling "occupation" tents and removing fuel and food.  We visited Trondheim on Ryndam in 2013 on the Voyage of the Midnight Sun.  My pictures are very like others that have appeared on this thread,.  We used the HOHO bus to get around, it was so easy to catch, just off the ship.

HOHO from the ship

Good morning friends!  It's sunny and cold but will get to at least 61F today so we're satisfied.  After DH has his coffee time we will go to the grocery hopefully before the crowds show up.  Then I'll do the usual sheet changing, washing and folding we do each Sunday.  I made sure to wash my hair this morning because tomorrow morning is the Mohs surgery on my forehead by the hairline so I won't be wanting to get that area wet for a while.  Since the appointment is so early I won't be here on the Daily in the morning.  But I'll check in once home.

Thanks to Rich @richwmnfor the Daily.  Also nice to see Roy @rafinmdposting the Care and Celebration lists from his cruise.  Thank you Roy!  Your food pics and choices are great.  I heard the Queen was positive for Covid this morning, but also heard Charles and Camilla had been down with Covid as well.  Hmmm!  Love the cherry pie celebration.  I used to make cherry pie with lattice crust instead of a full top crust.  So good!  We don't have a pet in the house so will have to love our DD's, DGD's, and DGS's.  I know they get plenty of love from home.  If I remember to do it I'll be outside at noon yelling Hoodie Hoo because I'm ready to say goodbye to winter.  Come on spring!  I'll pass on the menu suggestion, drink and wine today.  A white or rose will do just fine.

Jacqui @kazuthank you so much for the memes.  So funny!  I'm glad you didn't get caught up in the flood waters yesterday.  I know how badly you want to visit with Jose but he wisely understood you have to watch out for yourself.  Fingers crossed and prayers said you can get to the hospital before too long.  Ann @cat shepardI enjoy your animal series memes as well.  Have a nice outdoor birthday visit for your friend today.  Terry @smitty34877sorry to hear Tana was having some discomfort during the night.  She's no doubt happy to be where people really care about her.  Good luck getting some sleep tonight!

Trondheim was a stop on the Best Norway Cruise Ever in 2016.  I'll search out the best photos and post while DH is having that coffee.  Have a great day!

Extra prayers for you tomorrow.

To @grapau27, @smitty34877, @cunnorl, @Cruising-along, @MISTER 67, @summer slope, and @kazu thank you for your good thoughts and prayers for my Mohs surgery.  I'm pretty sure it won't be too bad.  Keeping a positive outlook on it.  Also Jacqui nice to hear you made it to the hospital.  Enjoy your visit.🙂

Good afternoon. Thanks for the Daily.

I like cherry pie, but don't have it often. Hoodie Hoo! No pets here; I never had any except fish as a kid.

Great quote.

Not a tofu fan, so I'll pass on the meal. Also pass on the drink, but the wine sounds good.

I haven't been to Norway. Thanks for the pictures.

It's sunny here today and going up to 48F. Supposedly 62 tomorrow and sunny. Woohoo. It's beginning to feel like Spring may actually arrive one day. Our local eagle's nest now has 3 eggs! I hope they all hatch, although feeding 3 eaglets is a big task (I think this is the 3rd time for 3 eggs, but one year only 2 of those hatched).

@kazu So sorry the roads were too bad to get to the hospital yesterday, but I'm glad you got there today. Recently some people here went around barricades, then got stuck in floodwaters, and had to call to be rescued. smh. I can't believe the winter you've had.

@grapau27 Thanks for today's sermon. Prayers that the Queen has a mild case of Covid.

@smitty34877 It's sad to hear Tana had issues last night; I hope today is a better day for her.

@Cruzin Terri Good to hear your hands are still pain free.

@StLouisCruisers Good luck with your Mohs surgery tomorrow. Great pictures of Trondheim!

@rafinmd Your meals look good. I hope your weather has improved.

@Kurtybee123 Welcome to the Daily!

Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List.

Stay safe everyone. I hope all the loosening of restrictions, masks, etc doesn't lead to increased cases.

Interesting collection of days and food/beverages!  Wish I had some cherry pie around here!

@StLouisCruiserssending prayers for successful MOHS surgery.

@smitty34877sorry to hear about problems for Tana.  A question I have been wanting to ask is if she is a candidate for lung transplant?

I didn’t go to Mass today, but watched the live stream.  Felt that since I am still under mandatory mask order, I would wait another week.  I will still be wearing a mask,  but after my 5 days, I can lift it if my breathing issues require it.  Thank goodness I am feeling better, especially today.

@ger_77I met two wonderful ladies from Saskatoon while on the Zuiderdam cruise.  I was sorry that I missed the opportunity to meet you.

Back to watching Daytona 500😁. Have a great day, everyone!

Aw, thank you for saying that; I'm sorry we couldn't make the cruise so we could meet face to face as well.  I am glad though, that you were able to experience the friendliness of our city through the other two ladies.  Next time!

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday!  I realized this morning that I forgot to read all of yesterday’s Daily and post.

Cherry pie is my favorite pie and really the only way I eat cherries 🍒 and Marie Calendar’s is my favorite.

So now it’s afternoon and I didn’t finish this post. We are still discussing our Med cruise.

Bon Voyage to Maxine and DH @AncientWanderer!

@JazzyV, @puppycanducruise, @irishjim@cruzn single, and my sweet friend Joy @Seasick Sailor I am so appreciative of your kind words.  I'm sure everything will go well.

Joy, I echo Jacqui's plea and all the others who beg you to come back and join us again.  It's not the same without you!!  Thank you for thinking of me daily - I do you as well! ❤️ Hoping you and Allen are happy and well.

Every day around here is Love my Pets Day. Hoody Hoo is not needed in the desert southwest. I will give the Cherry Pie, the meal and the drink of the day all a miss. I would love a piece of Overhead Fred's home made Apple Pie. The wine sounds like one I will try although I usually prefer white wines. Only stopped at one port in Norway and it was Bergen, not Trondheim.

@kazuI admire your tenacity in attempting to see Jose.

@smitty34877Tana is blessed to have you as her caretaker.

@StLouisCruisersI never say good luck with surgery because I don't want to think that luck has anything to do with it. May you and your surgeon have a blest day.

@rafinmdThank you for continuing to post both the lists and the inspiring sunrise/sunset photos. Enjoy your cruise.

Good afternoon.  We finally made it back from our shopping outing, and everything is finally put away.  Fortunately, I got everything on my list except one thing.  The big box store again this week was out of much of what I wanted, but luckily, Safeway had what I needed.  We couldn't believe the traffic on the road today.

We made it home in time for DH to get to see most of the Daytona 500.  There must have been quite a few wrecks early as it was on lap 60 of 200 after we'd been back about 30 minutes.

@kazu  Jacqui, I'm happy you made it to the hospital to see DH.

@durangoscots  I hope your Hoodie Hoo worked so the roofers can start work this week.

@StLouisCruisers  Good luck tomorrow.

@Cruising-along  Suhy was a cute cat and reminds me of our Happy.  Sending good thoughts that DD's kitten continues to have good health.

@lindaler   🎂 🎈  HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK! 🍾🥂

@cruzn single  So glad you are feeling better.

@Kurtybee123  A day late, but welcome to the Daily.  Please don't be a stranger.

@Seasick Sailor  Hope we will see more of you as you have been missed.

All the flooded roads that have been reported reminded me about what happens in the desert when it does rain.  Most of the washes will flood with the run off, and there are many drivers who think they can make it through the water even if the roads have barricades.  Arizona, or at least Phoenix, has a "stupid drivers law", and whenever someone has to be rescued from the washes, they have to pay for the rescue.  Even that doesn't stop some idiot drivers.

Now I'm going to see if CC will let me upload the pictures of Trondheim I tried to post this morning.  They are mix of our 2005 and 2011 visits, where we wandered around and took a tour offered by the visitor's office.

In 2011 while on the Prinsendam, the local tour took us to a park that had a collection of old buildings on display, including a small Stave church.

We also visited the fortress, but my pictures are the same as @StLouisCruisers Sandi's.  The next two are from a high point over looking the town and port.

We have asked that question  and unfortunately  the severity of her disease coupled with the covid damage makes it unlikely. She is a nurse who got  Covid early on and was quite ill. I have learned to never say never, things can change.
