What do you wish Celebrity would do that other cruise lines do?

Afternoon tea food selection is much better than Princess food wise - but it would be nice to have a dinning room service like they do.

Evening entertainment on Princess is also much better. They have great shows as well as lots of games being played in addition. Daytime I think celebrity wins, but kind of luck of the draw depending on your activity staff.

Celebrity buffet blows Princess out of the water.

Celebrity has really tried these last few years to up the itinerary game which I appreciate. But yeah sign of the times means shorter itineraries...

Cancel Russia, as all the other lines except Celebrity and Royal. Forget the almighty dollar for once.

I'm sure they will. It is probably only a matter of time before US citizens are banned anyway.

Princess Medallion and their internet.  Princess uses a different satellite technology with much higher bandwidth and lower latency.  Hopefully someday soon, all the cruise lines can switch to Starlink and I can work remotely while enjoying a cruise.

i would LOVE this!!!

(FT WFH for 10+ years now... and YES I would 100% love to have a view of the ocean from my balcony while on calls vs. my backyard! 😄 )

Mine suggestions are fairly basic.

1. Nespresso machines in the cabins. Understandably this is a big expense for the product and the maintenance and upkeep of the machines.

2. Spas that have some sort of water feature, hot tub or therapy pool. Anything really. With the emphasis Celebrity tries to put on the wellness aspect, the spas in general, especially on Edge class ships really falls short of some of the newer ships on other lines.

3. Bring back something similar to the Bistro on Five concept without going fully casual like a sports bar chain restaurant feel (i.e. O'Sheehans) where the food was disgusting. It's nice to escape sports bars. The Raw bar concept was outdated before it was adapted for the ship. Apex sort of did this with the casino bar space but I haven't checked it out yet.

Simplify pricing. Instead of "Always Included" (except when it's not, and it takes extra clicks to be sure), I appreciate the way Princess changed their pricing a while back. Simply Sail means just that: you get to sail on the ship. For a flat fee of $40/day, in most cases, passengers get tips, wifi, and Premium beverages. Sometimes, they throw in one Specialty Dining meal. It's simple, straightforward, and easy for people to determine whether or not it's a good deal for them.

I'd love to have self-service laundry available. We finally get one bag of laundry each, but there are things I would prefer to wash myself, and preferably not in my sink.

The Medallion on Princess is nice, but not without problems. I do wish it wouldn't unlock the door until I'm closer to the cabin.

We generally prefer Celebrity to Princess, but Princess wins on the above three items for us.

Celebrity's larger ships are obviously not set up for it, but we loved the Sports Deck at the aft of Windstar. We will try Viking Ocean and Azamara this year, so I may come up with something else.

One of my favorite things on Celebrity is the overall friendliness of crew, and most passengers. I love getting a "Good morning" or afternoon, or evening from every crew member I pass in the corridors. Most passengers offer a friendly greeting, as well. It sets a pleasant, festive tone.

If they even used what their sister company does on Oasis class ships, it would be a vast improvement .

Many of the newer ship designs have moved the gym and spa to lower decks with port and starboard views rather than forward. If more cruiselines decide to create a ship within ship concept in their forward spaces they should move the gym and spa to lower decks. It will be interesting what Royal does with their Icon Class. Oasis Class has the gym and spa on a lower deck while Quantum Class has them on the upper most decks. Then you have NCL moving the Haven all the way Aft in their new Prima Class.

Yes, I almost booked a Prima class ship for next year as I liked the look of the new Haven being at the back of the ship including with a dedicated elevator going to all decks. I never understood them putting the Haven at the front with some of their best suites having their balconies facing forward which rendered them unusable for pretty much any time at sea. On my last NCL cruise I booked an aft suite in order to ensure a useable balcony but then of course it was a haul to get to the Haven facilities.

I am not sure I like this idea.  I don’t even use the coffee makers in the hotel rooms.
I think someone else mentioned the extra burden this would put on an already overworked staff.

Since others have added some slightly larger areas, my vote is for a 9 hole mini golf course. Our favorite was the 2 level one on Adventure of the seas. It’s a great way to pass some time, work on your putting, and on Celebrity you could actually enjoy it more with the lack of kids on board. I could be totally wrong, but I bet it would get used more than the basketball court.

Speaking of basketball court, I believe it was on Royal , they set it up as pickle ball courts that looked like a blast but it was almost always full. It was generally an older crowd and not kids. Surprised on the Constellation they didn’t set this up.

Have the doors for the evening shows (7 and 9) open so there's no standing in line waiting to enter the main theater.

I have been on 20 Celebrity cruises and have never had to stand in line for a show. We are usually there 15-20 minutes before the show and walk right in and grab a seat.

We have. Every cruise. We also arrive ~15 early. We like to get a good seat and watch the hilarious pre show.

As long as they don't do anything Carnimart does, I will be pleased.

Actually, the comedy club on Carnival is one of our favorite things about cruising. Always so much fun. I wish more cruise lines did it.

...  Never experienced a fight in the MDR but if we did, I'd blame the guests.  Not the cruise line.

There are fights on Cruise Critic too because some people like to be jerks.  Is that Cruise Critic's fault or the jerk's fault?

Agree 100%. Fights and other unpleasantries can -- and do -- happen on other lines.

It also depends when/where you are going. If you do a 3-4 day cruise during spring break (especially one that includes Cozumel! 😮) then you are probably going to see some idiot drunks and people just generally acting like fools -- on any cruise line.

If you choose Carnival or Disney, you are likely to see lots of kids. If you choose a Holland cruise to Alaska, or a 16day  TA during the school year, you'll have few kids and not many young adults either.

So choose what you like, but don't blame the cruise line if you chose a cruising style that doesn't suit you. Learn from it and do better next time.

I like the idea of self service laundries. But on other lines that have them, they are too small and therefore too crowded, and they are unpredictable as to when you can use them. Celebrity needs to improve on this withe a llarge number of locations, each with many machines.
