Here are two shots of the coffee menu from different cruises.

Is this coffee/tea menu still current, as I see it mentions purchasing a coffee card. I thought everything was done through the MedallionClass app. The reason I ask is that I have an unused card from a pre-Covid cruise and wondered if still accepted.

Happy cruising JWattle. Always enjoy your posts so am looking forward to your impressions.

You were lucky to be able to upsell to a Suite.  Upsell Dept. is a great way to upgrade yourselves.

The person that works in that dept. is very nice.

How do we reach the Upsel Dept & is there a person to talk to?

Thanks!

I am trying to figure out the electrical plug type from your pictures. Can you tell me what types of plugs are available in your cabin--US and Euro 2 or 3 prong?--so that I can make sure I take the appropriate adapters with me?

Thanks so much for posting about your cruise. Much appreciated.

I was on the Majestic Princess in February & here’s the plugs in my balcony stateroom.

I would pack an adapter so you could use the Euro plug. The USB plugs were at the bedside table.

Here’s something from Amazon that would work with the one plug.

Hope that this helps.

Yesterday was a nice first day to be drowsy,  especially since we got our invite to the Winemakers Dinner! Definitely want to be rested for that, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Also,  it was so foggy we thought we'd committed a party foul and he was taking us back home to Humboldt. The fog Horn was blowing every two minutes to let smaller vessels know "move over,  or be moved!"

So,  the Winemakers Dinner: delightful!! It was formal night,  and Tom turned out in beautiful togs as always. For those who say pictures or it didn't happen, here you go friends: my apologies, I agree dessert before I remembered pictures. Sorry,  not sorry! 😀20220313_195337.thumb.jpg.94ddc220fc071b9bf3220d4f92472266.jpg20220313_194839.thumb.jpg.cb88bc9cec1078c2b5e3ac0b706895e2.jpg20220313_194754.thumb.jpg.6c95335bbb5959f7e5513a5eaab46dfe.jpg20220313_194749.thumb.jpg.e1737ab16af86a7c917812be93ab25f1.jpg20220313_194754.thumb.jpg.6c95335bbb5959f7e5513a5eaab46dfe.jpg20220313_193035.thumb.jpg.f0a3f79a87c924a5715651708ec13909.jpg20220313_191445.thumb.jpg.ea157f4b535ca9d171e42210650d495a.jpg20220313_190516.thumb.jpg.c3d8ac8411e1992f64e022c3074ea7c2.jpg20220313_185136.thumb.jpg.f5581a8ed602176772cc2ab0041c6276.jpg20220313_185130.thumb.jpg.41e42bf9afef9a1381106736ec412c95.jpg20220313_181625.thumb.jpg.6558d8d31ee57ac80a8ed0ebdf770a64.jpg

I also went to the Winemakers dinner in February & asked for the dessert wine & they brought glasses & the wine for everyone. I also went to the Chefs dinner which was well worth the money. I didn’t realize until later that the folder that they gave us didn’t have a list of the food served but 2 copies of the wine & d’oeuvres served for our dinner & the same meal the next night. If any has a copy of the food served at the Chef’s dinner it will be much appreciated.

On our last cruise - November 2019 just before the shutdown - the pricing was still the same. I have no idea if it's the same these days but that is the most recent info I have and I would "guess" the prices are still the same as before.

Did you book the winemakers dinner through the dine line on embarkation ?  Had our fill of chefs table dinners but have been hoping to do the winemakers dinner on our April coastal

I was on the Majestic in February & that was done. I had a list for both dinners from our Roll Call which they excepted.

Thank you so much, Tom. Your e-mail does indeed help. I have already been looking at adapters so I can expand my plug capacity so your response is most timely. Appreciate the pictures--a picture is worth a thousand words!

Here is a pic I grabbed on Regal a few weeks ago.  My understanding is the old 'card' is worthless, they now put it on your app and purchases are applied to the 15 specialty drink count. I bought one and got specialty drinks (lattes etc) for myself and my daughter.  Seems they were out of vanilla coffee syrup on our cruise, you would think thats a staple in a coffee bar! (edit: seems I am not experienced adding photos, mine is the sideways one at the top!)

Just to clarify:  there isn’t a 15 specialty drink count.  On Princess Plus, (Premier Beverage package), there is a 15 drink count/limit for alcoholic beverages.  But non-alcoholic drinks like coffees, sodas, lattes, etc are not limited, you can order as many as you like.

You have to differentiate between the coffee card which limits one to 15 specialty coffees and Princess plus which has a limit of 15 alcoholic drinks and no limit to specialty coffee drinks

Ah - I didn’t realize they still have a coffee card!  So they still offer a coffee card, but it’s now a virtual card in the app or on your account?

Princess doesn’t list that in the “drinks packages” info, so I wasn’t aware that was a thing anymore.🥴   Thanks for clarifying!

Edit : I never read the details on the “New Grounds” coffee package.  They do say that’s for a specific amount of drinks “numbers vary by itinerary”.  I always assumed that package was for unlimited, like the premium and soft drinks packages. I learn something new every day!

For my cruise they offer a 15 limit Specialty Coffee package. What is included in that? Or excluded?

and as an Elite can my mini bar set up be exchanged for this coffee package?

appreciate the first-hand experience replies.
thanks

Really enjoying following this thread! All the info, photos, and humour are getting me excited for our April 16th cruise. Just a quick question about the price on the 7-day Enclave and is the price cheaper if you purchase before the cruise? Also, what are the prices for Chef’s Table and Winemaker’s Dinners?

Many thanks!

This is copied and pasted from the Princess website:

Is there a way to customize the mini-bar I get as an Elite member?

Yes, you can make changes on board through CrewCall Chat or by dialing room service. Mini bottles of liquor can be exchanged for either the same size of a different type of liquor or beer on a one-to-one basis. You can also exchange the entire setup for: a bottle of wine, coffee cards, sodas only or waters only.

We have swapped out for two "coffee cards" since they were discontinued and what it actually meant was that we each had 15 Specialty Coffees available on our Ocean Medallions.  We didn't keep track of how many we used in a week-long cruise, so I can't tell you what might happen if you get to or go over your 15.

HTH!

Edit: As far as what's included, looking at Thrak's post #175, ordering from the two sections with Barista Coffee Fusions and Barista Specialty Mixes is what gets deducted from your 15 drinks package, but the drinks in the top box are available at no additional charge with the package.

If you go over the 15 you should be charged. But that will be up to the barista

If you are on a Royal Class, Chef's Take is $115 per person,  wine makers $60
