Seems like I’m the only one who would enjoy today’s meal.  I actually had it South America.  What made it so delicious was the Leche de Tigre which was a sauce with lime juice, onions and chilis, very similar to the marinade used for ceviche (which I also like).

I love hot weather and enjoy spending my summers at my parent’s beach house in Ocean City, MD.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend.

Oh that sounds great.  I too like ceviche.  I’ll rethink 😉

Greetings from Barcelona where the temperature finally warmed up and we finally woke up.

Today we had to have COVID tests.  The hotel had a doctor come to our room and administer the tests and we had instant results showing we were negative for COVID.  All for 25 Euros each. The results were emailed to us and we have hard copies to keep in the event that our testing at the pier on Monday shows a positive result.  If so, Oceania will then step up and handle things from there.  Don’t ask me exactly what, but they will cover quarantine costs and any flight arrangements.

Here’s hoping we remain negative for COVID.

We went out for a while afterwards and went to Mount Juic to the Poble Espanyol.  For some reason it did not hold the same appeal as the last time. However, we stayed a while, took some pictures and enjoyed the time there.  Then had a paella dinner and went to El Corte Ingles mall for some shopping.

And that was our day.

Tomorrow is supposed to be rainy and cold.  We will see what is in store.

I was trying to post some photos but it isn’t working for me.  i will try to post them separately.
Take care all.  Prayers for everyone.

God Bless

Terri

A late good afternoon. Thanks for the Daily.

A salute to All is Ours Day. I don't know if I could draw a bird; I've never tried drawing much. Love zoos.

Great quote.

I'll pass on the meal, drink and wine.

I haven't been to Tokyo. Thanks for the pictures.

It's been raining off and on, with snippets of sunshine. I went to the health center early, so I could get the plain x-ray of my hand. I also let Rheumatology know that I haven't been able to get the ultrasound scheduled. Then saw the retina specialist, who said all is fine with the middle and back parts of the eye, so my uveitis is all anterior. Good news!

@StLouisCruisers HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Also to your twin. Good to hear that Jen has regained some of her hearing, and hopefully more will return. DD is very talented to make those decorations.

@smitty34877 Thank you for another picture of adorable Miss Camilla!

@mamaofami Great to hear of Sam joining the chorus. It should do him good to be out with others.

@Heartgrove It's hard to believe SWA cancelled again! They need to get their act together. And then the United flight delay. Oh my. But at least they finally got there. Sorry you had to stay home.

@ottahand7 I hope your brother's recovery from the surgery improves.

@HAL Sailer I admire your forward looking attitude.

@JAM37 Hopefully DH listens and feels better soon.

@Overhead Fred HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! to you and Mitzi.

@Cruzin Terri Glad you tested negative. Enjoy Barcelona!

Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Extra prayers for Ukraine.

Stay safe everyone.

@Quartzsite Cruiser My twin and I thank you for your warm wishes for our birthday!  And I'd also like to thank you for the great photos of Tokyo.  Must have been fun!

Vanessa, great to hear you got good news today at your retina specialist visit.  Must be a big relief.

Thanks for our birthday wishes!  Lunch was very good today and tonight DH is making me a shrimp dish.  No complaints from me!  Yes, encouraging news about Jen.  I heard Buddy tried mowing his front lawn last week and was so exhausted he couldn't do anything for two days!  Better wait for his teenage son to get home from school and work to do it next time.  And DD sent me a "grandkids" plaque she personalized with their names on it and it arrived today.  So nice of her.🥰

@Cruzin Territhanks for the report.  It's very good that you went early to Barcelona because you will be totally restored by the time you get on your ship.  Wonderful news about the test results and wow, so easy and inexpensive!

Cold day here is SE PA.  Very rainy yesterday and DH’s caretaker cancelled on him for a shopping trip.  Not a happy camper!  Getting notices for our B2B starting on 5/8 on Oasis of the Seas — still using up those future cruise credits.

Now for an announcement some may like, some may not.  NY Mets won their season opening game!!  Katherine

So I leave Bayonne the day before you return.

@JazzyV Vanessa, that is good news from the  retina specialist gave you a good report.  Hope the ultrasound can be scheduled soon.

@StLouisCruisers  Sandi, thank you for the kind words about the pictures.  Tokyo is an interesting place to visit, but it can be crowded.    Sorry to here that Buddy overdid things by mowing the lawn, but just wanting to tackle it could be considered a sign he is beginning to feel better.  It is also good news that Jen has about 70% hearing in her right ear, and the chance of further improvement is good.  That is better than what was feared when she first had the accident.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri, congratulations on testing negative, and glad you are feeling rested.  Hope the weather tomorrow is better than predicted.  Enjoy Barcelona before your cruise.

Hello everyone,

Thanks for everyone's contributions today, I have enjoyed reading them, it seems that good things are happening to many people.

I have been at the hospital for most of the last two days as DH apparently had a heart attack yesterday. By my observation he was not himself for a couple of days but refused to seek medical attention. I ended up driving him to the ER yesterday and he is being medicated and monitored. He is feeling better and his chest pain is reduced but he needs some more tests for diagnosis. He did have his sixth Stent inserted 6 weeks ago so they are concerned that he may have a clot associated with it. He is in good hands and the team is taking good care of him.

I was not able to post from the ER for some reason, but was able to read and it brought a comfort to me reading the posts. Thanks for just being here.

@Cruzin Terri Are the Spanish wearing masks, what's the protocal?   or the norm, of just being on the street.  I don't know what is is about Georgia, DH and I still wear masks, and folks look at us funny.

Tonight's dinner will be a BBQ Pork Quesadilla with mild jalapeno pickled peppers, green pepper and onion.  Gotta sneak those veggies in for DH.

Having lunch with my friend tomorrow-hope she doesn't cancel again....and then put in a few hours of work at the bowl.  Seems they like me there.  I did get three sales for the AZ opera today, and it was bonus day too, 10 bucks for each sale.  I could have worked longer, but i am the chef tonight, and I have to catch up with F1 racing, so I made coffee.  I'll either be up LATE, or asleep in front of the tube.

@Sea Viewer  Mary, I'm sorry to learn of your DH's latest problems.  It sounds like he is in good hands, and hopefully he will recover quickly.  Remember to take care of yourself too.

@marshhawk  Hope your friend doesn't cancel lunch again.   I know what you mean about funny looks since not many here are wearing masks either.  Congratulations on the three sales and on bonus day too.

Congratulations!  My choice I think is Atlantic Canada.  Not August but booked for the first week of July.

@StLouisCruisers It sounds like you're having a nice day! Wow on Buddy trying to mow the lawn; hopefully his strength will improve as he puts some weight back on.

@Sea Viewer Good for you for getting DH to the hospital. Especially with his cardiac history. Prayers for a good outcome.

@marshhawk I stopped to pick up something today that I'd ordered online. I could have done curbside pickup, but went inside, with my mask on. I was the only one I saw with one, including the staff.

Your experience seems to be the new normal.  We are becoming the oddballs now.  😉

I'm really sorry to hear of your DH's health issues lately, but thank goodness you got him to the ER!  Another wife who was right.  Prayers that he can get the diagnosis and feeling better soon, back home with you. 🙏

Good Evening All,

Another installment for the F&B Department. This was this evening’s dinner:

One question- we ordered the chocolate layer cake from in room dining. Is this that cake, or did they give us socher tart?
