The manager of RS on another ship prior to the pandemic gave us the same kind  as a thank you.  They were delicious!

@ReneeFLL after posting my photo the other day about drinking from boxed wine I did some further reading and research.
 

The Australians have possibly the greatest invention to solve the problem of getting wine while in quarantine.  It’s called “the goon sack”. It will also help RC with the quarantine pillow situation. Who needs goblets, ceramic cups or paper bowls when you have the Goon Sack.  Now your mouth is the glass. 
 

This 3 minute documentary says it all.  I literally laughed out loud while watching this.

Those chocolates were (are) provided by Royal and are not a regifted box of chocolate   They are delicious chocolate truffles   We received those same chocolates as a gift from our travel agent years ago.

Thanks for your report on what happens while in quarantine. Sorry you and Mike came down with the Covid.  At least the two of you had a great time on the previous cruise and your husband didn't test positive until the last days of this cruise.

Hate to break it to you, but we just got off oasis’ first cape liberty Bayonne sailing last Sunday the 8th. There’s at least 50 of us in the cruise group that have turned up  positive after getting off. We also had folks in the cruise group quarantined on board. It was running rampant on oasis. Reports of crew being down too and CD was even under the weather the last night.

Sorry to hear this. 😔  I hope everyone's symptoms remain mild.   And I hope those in quarantine did not have the struggles in getting room service that others are reporting.

Actually you can pick them at 175 pts. I have 3 boxes and 1 coming. 1 box is half eaten. They are really delicious.  Since I cant get towels they are my new selection.

I havent had any booze and vouchers going to waste. Of course getting the chocolates was another story. Took more than 1 trip let's put it that way. ..I first got brownies. My current steward is making me tiny animals.

@ReneeFLL  I’m so sorry both you and Mike got Covid and you spent your last week in the dungeon. You handled it like a trooper and far better than I would have.

 

I am sure your babies won’t leave your side.
 

I hope you can continue to improve and Mike doesn’t get too sick.
 

I love your Quarantine creation I remember vaguely you do cakes too I envy your creativity.

Maybe I missed it…but what kind of room did you have before they made you move to the brig ?  Were you in a suite ?

The first 2 legs out of the 4 we had a jr suite. I booked the third and forth legs in an inside. It was only my second time to be in an inside and Mike’s first. When I booked the third and forth legs I tried to upgrade but since I booked about the last minute I could I couldn’t get the upgrade to work. I talked to GS and kept telling me I had to go thru the app. I kept trying but it wouldn’t work. It just kept going back to the first page. Since I was in the same cabin for the next one I decided not to try to upgrade since I didn’t feel like changing rooms and that cruise was just a six day.
 

At that time Mike wasn’t going to be able to get off for it so it wasn’t a big deal if I stayed in the inside. On the last day of the third cruise is when I found out Mike was going to be able to come on the next one with me. I tried to upgrade but it was so late I didn’t know if it would work. It didn’t. I didn’t get the email notice that I didn’t get it until the evening of the second day. I’m not sure if I’ll ever book an inside for myself again. I need light coming in. Think I’ll stick with balconies. There was hardly any storage space in the inside cabin. Enough for one but imo not two people. I don’t know how 2 people do it on cruises for more than a couple of days let alone a TA or TP.

I thought the same thing when I saw all the black SUV’s. The one I was in was backed up towards the ship next to the tent. I had on a colorful shirt with white shorts. Maybe you saw me? I wasn’t outside the car for long since they escorted me to it right away, but we then had to wait for Mike to come down from his cabin.

Yes, but I didn’t finish it yet. If you look hard you can see where the blue rhinestones will be for the Royal anchor logo. It’s not that easy to see because the purse was silver to begin with. I thought it would be fun to have on the ship.

Different strokes... My wife & I are very comfortable in an interior. We spend very little time in our cabin and find the storage to be just fine. We don't dress up at all & ask for extra hangers to fit plenty in the one closet. She uses most of the drawers/shelves. We actually like how dark it gets for sleeping/naps. Caveat: we have only done 7-night cruises so I can't speak to TA/TP.

I have had my share of things happening on vacation.  Broke 2 ribs in Boston, had an allergic reaction to something on one cruise. Lots of pain relievers for the first and benedryl for the second.  I did not involve medical for either.   I just know that with the protocols being what they are I would not enjoy any of the trip.  We don't take a lot of vacations (to many things going on around here to be gone that much and it takes a lot of planning to be gone also) so for now we are taking vacations where I know that the protocols will not interfere with our enjoyment.

 

I am glad you enjoyed it enough to do it again.
