I would love to know if there is lunch in the MDR on embarkation day for NON club class passengers nd if so what diningroom please.

Yes, there is. It is in the restaurant on deck 5, open from 12 noon to 1.30pm. It is the Bordeaux Restaurant. Check the back page of the Princess Patter when you board.

MDR is for everyone on embarkation. The club class just have their own section. Breakfast and lunch only served in Bordeaux, for everyone not just cc. Dinner served in both Bordeaux and Provence.

Hi,can someone who has been onboard and who has the plus package tell me if the bottled water is included . Is that what is meant by “water to go”

Cheers Carole

Our Plus Beverage Package includes the classics: sodas, specialty coffees and teas, cocktails, wine and beer up to $16 each. Even hot chocolate, smoothies and water to go.

I'd love to see the full wine list. The small sample posted before is not good news! A couple of selections  of basic wines from big winemakers at ridiculously inflated prices.. At this rate, I will definitely be bringing some of my own bottles and paying the corkage charge.

One more question how long after you boarded did you get into your cabin? We are early boarding and dont want to lug around hand luggage for hours.

We boarded 11am and we’re in our cabin by 11.20am and our luggage was there when we got back from MDR lunch.

however we were the first cruise so no passengers before us so everyone’s cabin would have been ready.

everyone has to vacate their cabin in disembarkation by 8.30am so I would think there’s a good chance everyone’s will be ready promptly.

Bottled water is included in the Plus package, but someone mentioned that it is the small bottles, not the 2 litre ones.

Thank you, I recall seeing somewhere a 25% discount on water so maybe that is for the larger bottles

Yes, there is. Same dining room (deck 5?) just not in the Club Class section. We've been doing MDR embarkation lunches for years. It's always lovely and usually relatively quiet.

I'm confused by the Plus package.  I just found my onboard account printed out in my baggage.

It seems my Plus package doesn't include drinks on the "Inclusions" on the wine list.

I've been charged for 2 × $16 and 2 × $12 wines over two nights at Bordeaux.

I know I didn't go over my daily drink limit at that time because I was still getting plenty of drinks afterwards at the Wheelhouse.  Because the Medallion Class app was always so buggy, it often failed to load my folio charges so I was able to check and I didn't check on the Sunday morning.

What a joke.  And this when I gave Princess a somewhat glowing survey. 😠

So I'll just get lots and lots of small bottles!! It's a bit silly, there is probably more plastic having four 500ml small bottles than one 2L bottle. On longer cruises we take a water filter jug - I'm very sensitive to the chlorine in the ship's water, but it's not worth packing it for a seven night cruise.

Apparently there has been an issue with this as some waiters don't have the electronic ordering pads. Those charges should have automatically been reversed. Contact Princess immediately, they should give you a refund.

You should have been able to check your folio on your cabin TV if your app wasn't working. Too late now, I know, but that info might be useful to others reading this.

OK, thanks.  I haven't checked with my partner as she's been busy working elsewhere but I'll see if she kept her charges print out when she's free.  She was also having complete connection issues with Medallion Class so I don't know if she checked her folio that often and I don't think any of us thought about going through the room TV to check the folios.  It was pretty clear-cut; the Wine List showed our inclusions and that's what we ordered from.  I knew my casino spend would be on the account and a shirt.

But the billing is strange.  Each night shortly before bed, I had a $22 Espresso martini but none of these are displayed on the account or charged nor were the differences charged.  I might just keep quiet and wear the few dollars if the martinis were somehow automatically comped for my folio.

Never made it in 20 princess cruises, i must get on earlier but hate the crowds. Buffets are busy but suit. Plenty of time for mdr lunches on long cruises like we did.

Yeah, I thought it was a little pricey too but it was better than my local Leagues Club espresso martini.  What I found interesting was Princess has a cocktail called something like 24 karat gold which some people next to me at the Wheelhouse put me onto.  If I'm not mistaken, it was $15.50 and contained a tonne more alcohol than the martini.

I was three sheets to the wind that night (and really the other nights too, I 'spose).

I always found if we got there fairly early we got onboard before most of the crowds. The one time we had to go to the buffet for lunch it was horrible. Very, very crowded.

I like the Milky Way after dinner cocktail but it's pretty lethal.

I was surprised the Espresso Martini was so expensive. Possibly because they have to make the espresso so more labour-intensive than most other cocktails.

25% discount on bottles of wine is the only discounted part I have seen.

Small bottles from the bar are included in the plus package. Your in cabin water bottles are not included in the package, and are charged via room service.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary on Royal Princess on a Med cruise. We treated ourselves to a bottle of Dom for that. It was in Sabatinis so the fuss was a bit more subdued than it probably would have been in the MDR.

When the head waiter bought it over, he asked if we wanted a quiet pop or a loud pop. I said for the $1 per bubble price we paid, it might as well be loud. He gently removed the cork, and yelled out POP at the top of his voice.

Correct, 500ml ones included in the package

I always just order 4 bottle (the maximum per order) and get them delivered to my stateroom whenever I need them

Small bottle water included. Cans of sodas not included but also comes with 25% discount.

However they did try to charge me for a bottle of Asahi when I got the plus package. A visit to guest services sorted this out nicely.

I reckon the HW got the 15% gratuity, taking the Dom sale from table waiter, lol. He would be happy.

Even more lethal if it is within the cap of the plus package. I hope the medallion has a homing device to help you find your cabin after a night of drinking them.
