While I’m looking forward to being back on a ship again, you can count me among those who are not looking forward to the larger crowds. I’m very spoiled after being on Allure with only about 2200 pax on board. While that low capacity was wonderful while it lasted, it certainly doesn’t make for a sustainable business model. I’m sure we’ll still have a great cruise! 🛳

No one can realistically expect half filled ships to go on forever.  That was an unique experience and that’s it.  The ship will be full especially cruises in the USA except Pride of the America.  Currently NCL European cruises are not full but will know for sure when I check out the Jade later next month in Greece.

 

Yes Waldo will be taking a summer break from Royal and let the kids have all the fun… but Waldo will be back to Royal on The Symphony of the Seas 9/17 for two weeks.

I went stand by for Aqua 80s again and got in along with quite a lot of people.  Yes if the show you want to see is sold out … go standby and be flexible so you can still enjoy the show.  There were seats available and a lot of wet seats available.  It started to drizzle during the show but if you sit in the center 6 rows up you are semi protected.

The weather got a little bit worse and people started to leave .. mostly from the left and right side first 8 rows or so.  Again the center 6 rows up is the best bet.

I am singing in the rain … the sexiest man competition canceled due to inclement weather… I am just going to chill in the room to prepare for my catnap at the theater at 3pm.  I expect the theater to by FULL due to the weather …

I saw Cats about a million years ago in Edinburgh and quite enjoyed it. DH, who admittedly was a lot younger then and less likely to fall asleep during a performance, managed to stay awake for the whole thing, although he wasn't exactly wildly enthusiastic about it at the end. We have not yet seen it on board but I bet when we do he won't go the full distance. 😄

Now, the onboard show we really hated was Hairspray, which was on Harmony during her inaugural season. I stuck it out for the whole thing because we were right in the middle of the row, but DH climbed over everyone to get out! Since that day we always always always sit at the end of the row so we can make a discreet getaway if necessary! 😄
