soremekun Posted July 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Semi related, it's so stupid there is no deck 13 on most cruise ships.
zeroed Posted July 24, 2022 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2022 A ghost took my card and spent entirely too much in the casino while my wife and I were asleep. He then returned to the room and left the room and my clothes smelling like smoke and liquor. I was a victim but my wife doesn’t believe me. Stupid ghost. 1

Rare twangster Posted July 24, 2022 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Quantum class has a deck 13. My last cruise I snored so loudly in my deck 13 cabin the ghost gave up and moved to a nearby Princess ship. 1

The unlucky number in Italy is 17 and therefore you won´t find a deck 17 on MSC ships. But they do have deck 13. steamboats

cruisegirl1 Posted July 24, 2022 #16 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Perhaps cabin 9062 on Brilliance of the seas. You may recall that was the cabin of George Smith who met his untimely death on Brilliance in 2005. Perhaps the ghost is drinking Jager Meister. m
SargassoPirate Posted July 24, 2022 #17 Share Posted July 24, 2022 All because on the morning of Friday, October 13, 1307, King Philip IV of France had scores of the Knights Templars arrested including the order’s Grand Master Jacques de Molay. Many were sent to the Tower of Chinon where they were brutally tortured until they confessed to false charges, which included heresy, homosexuality, financial corruption, devil-worshipping, fraud, spitting on the cross, and more. There are several numbers in the Asian cultures that are considered unlucky. I wonder what the cruise lines do in those markets?
soremekun Posted July 24, 2022 #18 Share Posted July 24, 2022 Dumb. So in certain areas, do ages of people jump from 12 to 14 or 16 to 18? Why not? Because it's silly, possibly? I'm at 79 Crown and Anchor points. I should have skipped point 13 or 17. I would be diamond right now! 1
Rare livingonthebeach Posted July 24, 2022 #19 Share Posted July 24, 2022 The Queen Mary (now a hotel in Long Beach) wins the prize for being the ship with the most ghost sightings. It was used during WW2 to transport soldiers and participated in the DDay invasion. There is a famous door #13 in the engine room that crushed to death a worker. His ghost supposedly appears regularly.
footzz Posted July 24, 2022 #20 Share Posted July 24, 2022 (edited) I once encountered a ghost at a bar on a cruise ship. I asked it what is was doing there, it said it came for the boos. It did seem to be in good spirits. Edited July 24, 2022 by footzz 1

His ghost supposedly appears regularly. I know some nonbelievers think I am nuts but my husband (formerly a non-believer until we lived together) is convinced I attract spirits. I did have an experience on the Queen Mary at the indoor pool where a little girl supposedly drowned (though I didn’t know that at the time). The ship was both beautiful and creepy in some places, but the pool… 🫣.
pyrateslife4me84 Posted July 24, 2022 #24 Share Posted July 24, 2022 I was once in the Windjammer late at night and was visited by the Spirit of Midnight Buffets Past. Shook me to my core but I’ve since changed my ways. 1
