Elite cocktail perk

Have not sailed celebrity since they allowed CC elite cocktail drinks at bars around the ship instead of the hosted event in the lounge.  Do they still have the hosted event in the lounge? AND are guests travelling with an elite member who are not elite still allowed to have complimentary drinks?

Anyone know if they will bring back the Elite event?

We liked attending them even when we had drink packages. We enjoyed socializing with like-minded folks (IE: People who love to cruise a lot!!)

Cheers

You can only bring an elite member to and event if they share your cabin. Now that the cocktail hour is not a private event your non elite room mate will not get free drinks as they are now loaded on to your card

Drinks are not loaded on the card. There is an Elite happy hour from 5-7 pm at all bars except World Class Bar and maybe martini bar. Number of drinks is unlimited

We definitely had a hosted event at the SkyLounge on Solstice (May 3 departure). Not sure if that was because of the first voyage they took post covid or if it's back in general. This was only one day though AFAIK, the remainder of the sailing the happy hour was at the various bars.

The free drinks privilege is loaded on  your card. Just wording here. You need your card to get them.

What are the free drinks offered to Elites? My husband is considering foregoing the beverage package and just bringing a couple of bottles of wine onboard and partaking of free drinks before dinner.

We've found that we drink less with the beverage package than relying on free drinks. We think it's because of the time limit with the free drinks, you tend to get as many as you can during that time.

Was that on the first night of the cruise?

We find that with the Elite drink availability between 5-7 and casino free drinks we drink less. We do on occasion order a wine with dinner but the cost is well below what we would pay for the drink package. We would always get the premium package in the past and have a drink with lunch and then during the day  and into the night. It may be that we are older now and do not find drinking a lot is a positive!  This works for us but then again we did indulge quite a bit so we understand.  We find we can enjoy ourselves still on the cruise.  What works for one is not always what works for others.

No HH on embarkation day, day of  Captain Club party, or Officers  Party.  On a 7 day cruise you have HH on 4 nights.

Could be wrong but that is what I have noticed and experienced.

Happy cruising 🌊🚢🌅🇺🇸

Thank you for this. Can you order any drink you like? I like virgin strawberry daiquiris , I wonder if they would be included?

There is a very limited drink menu to choose from and it is posted at all the bars.

If he's not a big drinker two bottles of wine along with the drinks provided during HH should suffice. If I'm around one of the bars just before dinner I get my wine glass topped up to take to the MDR. On my February Edge sailing bartender was pouring me Decoy which is in the Premium package.  There is a pretty good selection of martinis and wines to choose from.
