Diamond Free Drink Vouchers

Recommended Posts

This may seem a silly question but I am asking it anyway 😁. We are diamond however we have always purchased a drink package. For our Oct cruise on the Allure we opted not to. For us the prices just seemed so high. I know we get 4 free drink vouchers each day but, does that begin with embarkation day or not until the following day? Thank you in advance for any assistance!

How would that work if room key/card isn't available until cabins are available later in the afternoon, would you just give room number to server and hope that it all works.

Your set sail pass has a bar code and your stateroom number on so they should be able to scan this.

The point was trying to make, though not to successfully, is that set sail pass/room key is now left outside the room which one does not have access to until 1 or 2 PM.

You need to have your Set Sail pass either on the Royal Caribbean App or printed out to show when you check in at the terminal before you are allowed on the ship.

The same bar code should be on your cabin card which you get later.

so on a b2b you would have 8 drinks as a diamond on turnaround day?

Yes but you have limited options for the 1st 4 as you have to use them in by breakfast. We used ours for some iced coffee drinks and some extra bottled water from Cafe Promenade for the 2nd half of the B2B.

You could try getting mimosas or something from the WJ bar or the MDR during breakfast.

Yes; so you either keep drinking past midnight, or you pick up some tins of coke for the next cruise; or at breakfast you have specialty coffees and Buck’s Fizz

Staying up after midnight on the last night just to get more free drinks?

Um, I don't think so.

I never knew that. I thought free drinks were for example, 7 days for a 7 day cruise. I never realized I could get free drinks in the casino after midnight on the last day.

Maybe the obvious, so that means 4 are added to your card on disembarking day?

Drinks actually get added at 12:01 am so stay up late and use them up.

Also make sure to keep track of this, it is very easy to hit a bar and start drinking and go past midnight and use up your next days vouchers.

It's an 8-day, 7-night cruise.
