It’s been tough to keep up here. Yesterday was our first visit to Nachi Cocum in Cozumel. It was a nice relaxing day but we kind of prefer Paradise Beach.  Today was another first, Maya Key which was another relaxing day, we dodged a few showers and saw quite a few Bella cruisers there.  We haven’t had great luck in the MDR, kinda given up on it.  Last night was Solarium Bistro, SO much quieter and more relaxing.  They don’t have a big menu, I ended up ordering the up charge filet mignon (which strangely is less $ than ordering it the MDR).  I was also told the up charge meal came with a complimentary glass of champagne,  it was a really nice meal and the champagne didn’t taste like the cheap stuff.  Tonight we are going back to Portside BBQ, it was so good for lunch the other day.
I also want to thank John @John&LaLa

Sue @Lionesss and Ken @Ourusualbeach for all their efforts and contributions in making this such a fun cruise for the group.
Look forward to seeing folks at the DL tasting part 2, then on to Slippery When Wet show and maybe Schooner if I can hang in there that long.

Jamie’s tomorrow in Costa Maya.

We were there last night. Very nice. But I don't recall hearing about a filet.

More food porn. Some free, some cheap

Veggie from Sorrento's. Extra crispy.

Toppings not very balaced, sigh....

I meant to add, our room steward has been fantastic.  We were given the option of am or pm service and chose am. As requested, he drops off a paper Compass each evening and we noticed he also does a little refresh - turn down and clean towels. We saw him in the hallway and mentioned how much we appreciate this and he just nodded, smiled and put his finger to his lips as if to say “shhhh”.

So I have a couple questions about Maya key for you...

How is transport handled the way it reads in my cruise planner for December is you board a shuttle boat to get there.  Where do you board the shuttle boat.  Is it just a walk off the boat and then onto a shuttle or do you have to bus as well?

Was food and booze included.  The cruise planner says lunch is included and booze may be available.  What does that mean in real life? Do you pay for booze per drink or was there a daily charge add-on?  If so what were prices like?

A Sea Dog Day at Turquoise Bay video. Enjoy!!

Enjoyed Turquoise Bay our first trip to Roatan back in 2018.  How was the food this time around?  Just trying to decide between it and Maya Key for next December when I'm on board Harmony.

Thanks for sharing. It has been years since we were at Turquoise and it is amazing how much it has expanded. I believe it belongs to Mayan Princess now? How was the pool? Was this a ship excursion or did you use a private driver?

I did and then made my own removing all the ones that I don't drink ( which is any beer, scotch or bourbon based drinks.🤣). I am usually a wine, Mojito, Lemon drop and Chocolate Martini person, I know boring.. I have added several new ones to my list to try on our Transatlantic .Does that make y'all a good influence on me or a bad?🤔

Dave the food was excellent especially the lobster tails. They were small but Linda gave me hers.

They were mixed separately in a smaller cup then layered one by one. Not sure how much it was served in a double shot glass.

That’s very strange it was right by the restaurant as you entered the resort and I thought it had been updated last time i looked on TA but that was pre-Covid. Was the food served on the beach now or in the restaurant?

We may have to take a return trip sometime. I prefer the quieter atmosphere compared to West Bay.
