I do have one question- does anyone know if you can get ‘foamy’ martini anywhere? I was surprised that the martini bar can’t do me a proper porn star martini - where it has a nice little layer of foam on top..? Seems odd for a martini bar to not be able to do them 😕

I am working my way through the drinks list I had though, the Libra at Sky lounge is lovely - Whiskey with peachy stuff added… yum 😋

Just found this thread. Thanks for taking the time to live post. We’re on board at the end of the month to the Canaries and Portugal. Hoping we have as easy a transit of the Bay of Biscay as  you had, We’re in a sunset veranda on deck 9.

I had a mango cocktail from Sushi on five which had a sort of foamy top, I believe it is also available from World Bar…Even if the foamy top doesn’t come up to standard it is a yummy drink!

Not sure if this fits your bill or not but I got this on Reflection last year at the Martini Bar, sadly I cant remember what the heck it was but remember it was delicious!

We're on the Oct 22nd TA with Silhouette.

Two quick questions - is Craft Social open to all and is there any British ale on draught on the ship and the price of a pint.

Thanks.

Hi

I was on Silhouette in May,first cruise after she crossed the Atlantic.

They used to stock Boddingtons or John Smiths alas they had neither,,the barman said there was no call for either in the US,,,,I did remind him they are now sailing from the UK,,,,,,they have taken both of the menus,,,,,the only Brit beer is Newky Brown.

They do have Guinness now on the Premium package at $11 a can.

From memory the only draught was Heineken.

Murano dinner. Always superb, last night didn’t disappoint. We were sat in the centre near the beautiful flowers with Angnelo as our waiter. He was very funny he told us lots of awful dad jokes but in such an elegant way!

Food was perfect, cooked mostly tableside and delicious. We had Diver Scallop in puff pastry with truffle, Lobster bisque, Chateaux Briand and Crepe Balon Rouge (best dessert ever) Even the bread and butter is to die for

Looks great.  We have reservations there also.  Looking forward to it.  Any pic of the Chateaubriand?

We are on the Sept 30th sailing and have a quick question. Did your app show the shows in theater before you sailed? We do not seem to have many shows in theater for our sailing which is  very unusual! Hoping they are just not entered till sailing date,

Also, do you have twice daily housekeeping service ?

The APP is updated within a few days of your cruise usually a day at a time.

They do have twice daily housekeeping

Hi there we are on that sailing. There are almost 250 of us on a different platform from here. That one we aren’t allowed to publicise.

@ladylemondrop If you get a chance to go to the World Class Bar could you say Hi to Shubham from me (Fred) and ask him what his personal favourite cocktail is so I can bring him one next month.

Enjoying your review 😎 have a great cruise

Will do! 😄

Malaga - we were supposed to visit the caves of Nerja but the ship cancelled our tour. So we took a short shuttle bus into town, and explored Malaga centre instead. It was surprisingly beautiful, and very clean. It was Katie’s first time in Spain so lunch at a Tapas bar was in order, and we found a really cute one in a side street. It was perfect.

I'm pretty sure this is the Murano Lobster not the Châteaubriand for Two.

Hopefully, this would put concerned cruisers at ease that the standard that Celebrity is known for is coming back despite the retooling phase.🤞

I don’t think the specialty restaurants have been impacted by the dumbing down of the menu.  The dining rooms have felt the hit.

Exactly!

And to prove this, tonight’s dinner in MDR was sadly disappointing. Was just my husband and I, we asked for table for two, and said we were happy to wait no rush. They took us to a row of tables right next to the main walkthrough of the dining room, and we were sat on the one closest to the walkway. It was like dining on the M25 (a four lane motorway in the UK)

Chaotic! We ordered, chicken soup, ceasar salad, then Salmon, (came with mash) and my husband had Fish and Chips. It was ok. That’s it, just ok. He enjoyed his fish, mine was overdone and dry. We didn’t bother with dessert as I wanted to get out of there. A couple next to us (they may as well put the tables together they are so close anyway) had waited half an hour for coffee to arrive, and gave up and left. I had dessert at the Martini bar and it was delicious! 😆

While I was having dessert my husband went to see if the England v Scotland football was showing anywhere, sadly not as they didn’t have the channel apparently.

That is a sad looking fish and chips…The salmon is rather uninspiring too…

Loved the Murano pictures. Made me regret that we are on M class next cruise…S class ships have so much going for them, especially Silhouette…

We are trying the MDR again tonight but I will be sure to ask to have a table in a quieter location if possible even if we have to wait longer.

We are also going to Sushi on Five today for lunch.  My first time there am curious to see how it is! And of course I will try the Spicy Mangotini! I’m not driving today! 🤣 (if you order a non alcoholic drink the staff always joke - ‘are you driving?’)
