Drinks in suite lounge

From 5-8 (assuming you are full suite) the drinks are the same using vouchers or their included offerings.  We had no problem with asking for, and receiving "the good stuff" while on board Wonder in the SL last week.

Trouble is, we had no way of knowing if the zero amounts that showed up on our account were from using vouchers or included SL happy hour drinks.  But we never go over our six drinks a person anyway...so free is free to us.  😉

I'm not worried because the most I will drink is two glasses of wine

On my last 3 cruises in the past 2 months, WA has been readily poured as the rose available, with no up charge.

Even in the MDR where the menu states it’s only available by the bottle.

Good to hear......was this in the SL?....what ships? It wasn't available in the SL on our recent Anthem cruise but was available in Vintages.

Either whispering angel rose of chandon champagne.  Thank you

Good news...

* Both Whispering Angel Rose and Chandon Champagne are available at CK/Suite Lounge.

* Complimentary to suite guests during lunch, Happy Hour, and dinner.

* Note: WA is $14/glass and $55/bottle. The Royal App has an extensive list of wines and champagne, but Whispering Angel is currently not listed...they said the App hasn't been updated. Happy sailing and cheers!

There is a 3-hour complimentary nightly open bar (usually 5-8pm or so).

On Oasis class, you also get free beer, wine, seltzer, soda, bottled water in the SL from 11am-11pm daily.

Thanks for the info about oasis class!  Didn’t realize that soda and bottled water were also free during the day 🙂

Makes it convenient to always have soda/water/beer/seltzer in your cabin cooler, especially if you're nearby the SL.

Indeed.  I usually try to remember to walk up to the bar after lunch on various days in CK to ask for two-four bottles of water to take back to the cabin...and always tip in cash with a smile and a thank you.  😉

It was listed on all the drinks menus but not available anywhere I asked on Liberty. Their wine selection was very limited.

Nice that it's avalable...maybe it's just on the ships with the combo CK/SL as it wasn't available in either CK or SL on Anthem.

Oasis class has way more selection than the smaller classes more like pub or schooner bar.

Yup...same for me.  I always hit the bank prior to a cruise...especially the longer B2Bs etc.  Much easier than constantly trying to get change at GS or casino.

Have WC coming up next month.  Think I may have to hire a Brinks truck to bring all that small bill tip money to the ship.  😄

So did you tip for every single time you went for requesting water bottles?

Last week on allure I didn't at every stop at the bar but at end of cruise gave the bartender $20 after a 4 day cruise who was only person I interacted with.

Yes, we give extra to the bartenders at the end...but always tip a buck a drink up until then.  The water...if they give me 2-4 bottles I give them a couple of dollar bills.  Cheaper than the "refreshment" package.  😉

And while the policy is you cannot take drinks out of the lounge, every cruise we have been offered to have glasses of wine to take to dinner.  And those glasses are a heavier pour that normal. 😄

Hold up, you’re not supposed to take drinks out of the suite lounge? We’ll be staying in our first ever suite (crown loft on oasis) in January, I was hoping to grab an occasional glass of wine to bring back to the room, or take with me to dinner. Is that not typically allowed?

There was an old policy, before the drink voucher program, that restricted the drinks to consumption in the Lounge but that policy is no longer in effect.  You can definitely get a drink and leave the lounge.

Heads up on the selection of the "free beer/wine" during the 11 -11 for full suites.

DH used to enjoy his Heineken and Stella for that time slot, now it is limited to canned (U.S) domestic cheap beer.  And the wine...OMG...awful!!  It's their own label brand.  Really bad.

Luckily had plenty of vouchers to use during those hours.

This was the case on Wonder last week.  Not sure if all Oasis class ships have gone to that, but I am assuming they have.  Yet another RCI cut back.  😖

We have never had a problem getting Heineken in the suite lounges on any Oasis class ship (including Wonder) during the 11 AM - 11 PM hours, but then we haven't sailed on her so far this year.

Unfortunately the "freebie" beer for suites is now cheap domestic.  Yes, you can still get Heineken (And Bucky's favorite Stella) but you will have to use a voucher or pay for it.  😞

Yes...another RCI cut back as the prices still keep going up.  😣

Good thing we rarely drink enough in a day to ever go through our freebies…😇

Yup...same as us we never go over our six.   With the ship giving us 3 bottles of wine, the ability to bring on two more (though we never do an longer) AND the six person drinks per day.  Hick...  🤪

IMHO...for us...any more than that, time for me to find the nearest AA meeting.  😄
