Actually on our last cruise this past summer one of the questions at one of the trivia contests was when Elvis died. I nailed that one. 😉 In case anyone really needs that information it was August 1977.

Snap, it was a good time to get married we did this in Wales so we have a wedding certificate in two languages.

BTW, still married to the same woman, and we celebrated our 46th anniversary last year on a sea day between Norway and Iceland. 😊😊😊😊😊

I started cruising much later. Our first cruise was for our 25th anniversary, so I was 55. DW was younger, but way over 14. LOL

HAL has rescheduled the GWV to avoid the Red Sea. This was left in mailboxes of people affected while everyone is ashore in Puerto Vallarta.

We who are joining later have heard nothing from HAL. I assume the itineray will remain as is to Singapore and instead of going to Sri Lanka will go to Maldives and south. I expect we should hear later today or tomorrow, but thanks for heads up. 

Glad I waited for visas to Sri Lanka and India.

Sensible to totally avoid the entire region since no one knows how far it could escalate.

 

The underlying issues are complex and complicated. There are no easy solutions, and no quick fixes. I'm hoping that this is not the prologue to WW3. The stars are in alignment.
