Why would you exclude tips? For most people pay it, the people who would remove them would be accurate when it cost for total price.

Also, if you want to be accurate, it should include all other costs, such as airfare, hotel, shuttles, meals, and all other money spent to get a true cost of the vacation. In our case, it would be an extra $1,500+.

Prices on the website do not include tips, and many just pay it on their shipboard account rather than pre-paying. This is just to give a gauge to see the deals that people are paying.

Many people like myself pay the grats onboard. I know how much they cost;they don't have to be included in the upfront cost. Many cruisers live within driving distance to a port so would not need airfare, hotel, shuttle costs, etc. I like the information the original poster suggested to be included.

I believe the OP started this thread to help find good cruise deals.

IMO, no need to include pre or post cruise travel expenses or tips.

That price is through RCL directly I assume. I used an online TA. The instructions in the first post did not specify if it had to be a RCl direct booking.

Ship:  Liberty of the Sea

Date:  September 7, 2024

5 days Bermuda

Total price $1740 for 2 in a 4D balcony

It was through a TA with OBC of $75 plus $50 from Royal. When I booked you could pick your room. Now it is a guarantee.

I noticed you didn’t have a comment on gratuities, which is a cost associated with the cruise cost, IMO, unless you don’t pay them.

Ship: Voyager

Destination: PC to Spain TA

Dates: 5/6/25

# of Nights: 13

Cabin Type: balcony

Total Price (inc. taxes & port charges, exc. gratuities): $1321

Average Price Per Night (per Person - USD): $100ish

Other Perks: $50 obc

A balcony was only $30 more than inside which imo is a bargain but a inside would get the price under $100 a day.

quotes for leg 2 which is 10 days of amazing ports to me, 2 in greece, ends in rome, prices arent as amazing. $17xx ?? inside or $2700 balcony. 10 days and obc is $200 plus 100 stock. So more to spend on excursions and tips. Im considering leg 3 ends in athens greece and is only 7 days, not 10 like leg 2 so less $$$. I've already run into a couple who booked all 3 legs. I booked 2 so far.

again solo rate. Dp340.

I'm pretty sure everyone is posting their cruise fares with port fees and taxes.

We all know their standard gratuity rate so IMO not really any need to show for comparison purposes of fares/good deals.

I typically do not pay tips until onboard.

Almost $1000 difference for a seven night cruise?  Hard to believe.

Quite common for sailings through to the end of April 2025.  There are sailings on Icon with savings of over 5K

Group rates for sailings from May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025 were set in the fall of 2022 when prices were low.  group prices remain constant while Royal has kept raising their prices.  You will not find that wide a variation on sailings for May 2025 and beyond as those have just been released but there are still some ships and categories with $300 to $400 pp savings, not to mention that it is refundable and comes with some OBC

With such a difference in price offered by Royal and what is available through a travel agent who has group rates, yes it is hard to believe but it is factual.

I checked the price I booked for 2 Odyssey 2025 sailings compared to the price on Royal's site (within the last 5 minutes). My savings is over $1,200 on each cruise. Finding an agent with group rates will benefit you greatly.
