The Fleet Report and Daily for Sunday April 21st, 2024

Recommended Posts

Good Sunday morning!  It is sunny but will be cool and the wind will blow.   Thanks for the Daily Reports and Maps, Sandi, Rich and Roy.   Funny that Hemp Day follows 420 day.   I enjoyed Kindergarten even though I had to go all day most of the year because the District didn't want to send a bus way out in the country to bring one child home.  Chocolate covered cashers would seem difficult, too large and too curvy to coat well.  Get your chocolate while you can.  Cocoa spent almost two years at $800 per standard measure for commodities, I saw on CNBC it reached $1200 on Thursday.  Pricy.   A stupid quote by Adams today.   A trifecta today, all three of the comestibles look like winners!  Thanks to Dixie, Ann and Debbie for researching these for us each day.

Vanessa, thinking and praying for you as you prepare for your surgery tomorrow,  praying for 100% success and the relief of your leg pain.   @smitty34877 so happy to read that Tana was able to join your family dinner, continued prayers for her.   Prayers for everyone on our care list and those in war zones, Ukraine, Israel and the innocents in Gaza.

I will be working outside today as soon as it warms up, it was 38 when I woke up.   I will have to pot the six trees I bought for the cabin and give the ones that are too big to my neighbor.   Have a lovely Sunday.  Nancy

Happy Sunday!  It is wonderful to see such a long celebration and shoutout list, the people getting ready to cruise or cruising.  Cheers! 🥂🍾🎉🛳️️ Thank you @JazzyV for the wonderful list you post every day.

Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach

Never went to kindergarten, my kids did. Not sure if I would like chocolate cashews. Both separately would be ok.  Meal sounds great.

@bennybear  Happy 50th Anniversary! Enjoy your special day.

@sailingdutchy  Happy Birthday! May you enjoy many more.

@JazzyV  Warm thoughts sent your way for a successful surgery tomorrow.

I wish all those cruising a very smooth and safe voyage.

Not much happening here today. It will be a relaxing day for me.

Stay safe and enjoy today

   Charlene

Still cool in north Jersey, mid 30s peaking into low 50s, cloudy and breezy. I think we’ll make a quick run to get some snack food for the week’s travels. Maybe one last small laundry load today then pack everything to be ready for tomorrow's late morning departure. There’s to be a truck here at 10:00 tomorrow to pick up shredding, I hope it’s on time, we generated a bunch of paper to be shredded between taxes and the move… but nothing like when we moved from NM where we burned out our own shredder then took 30 lbs to UPS and paid them to finish it up!

Terry, splendid that Tana ate with the family!  What a lift for you all!  Have a grand time together!

💞 Happy Golden Anniversary Brenda @bennybear and DH 🎉 Milestone of Love well lived!

🎂 Happy Birthday Tony @sailingdutchy 🥳
🛳️ Bon Voyage @kazu Jacqui and @VMax1700 🍾 May your cruise be Grand!

I love chocolate covered nuts!  Too much so!

Kindergarten was a giant leap forward into new worlds!  One part was very upsetting to me - girls were not allowed to play in the block corner!  Maybe that propelled me in a direction for life to “show them” what girls can do!

Blessings to all in need. Praying for Amazing for Vanessa!  and Maurice, Tana, Jim, Elizabeth, Annie, Chuck, Amber… all in acute situations, may you have a shift soon to better paths !

Thanks all for being here with your caring support!
Maureen

Good morning and Happy Sunday.  Prayers for all in need.  So many illnesses and I will pray for healing for all.

DTS Karen (twin) and her DH coming over for dinner and a baseball game.  We haven’t figured out what we will eat yet but something will come together.  I know I have some apps I can serve and maybe some cheese tortellini with Alfredo.  Time will tell.

Church first in cold SE PA today.  Church is a walk for me so weather does matter!  Have a great day everyone.  Katherine

Good morning Dailyites from a 49 going to 66 and sunny day. Last night we had thunderstorms and wind but nothing earth shaking.

Wow, I think the celebration list is longer than the cares list! Thank you Graham for Father David's message this morning.

Wishing those setting sail today a hearty Bon Voyage, Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary going out to those celebrating today. AND so happy to read Tana was able to sit with the family at the dinner table!

Sending a list of prayers to our Heavenly Father for those suffering. Vanessa you are on my mind and I continue prayers tomorrow's surgery relieves your pain.

I remember kindergarten. Our school was very old and our classroom was on a second level. There was a slide attached to our room for fire purposes but we were able to slide down to the playground at recess.

My friend brought over 2 sweet potato plants and I'll find a home for them this morning. Another friend brought a bouquet of flowers as a thanks for a little something I helped her with. I love our friends and I'm so blessed we moved to a wonderful neighborhood.

Tonight's dinner is a mystery. We have leftover pork tenderloin but I don't feel like having it again. Maybe some field peas with ham and cornbread for Sweet hubby, and I'll have Navy bean soup. Or not..

Thanks to all for making our Daily a great place to gather. Sandi, Ann, Dixie, Debbie, Vanessa and Roy..

Good morning from a cool but mostly sunny central Texas.  It is currently 50F and feels like 47F because of a 7mph north wind.  The humidity is 99% with a dew point of 49F.  The predicted high this afternoon is 64F with sunny skies.  Yesterday, we received 1.06 inches of rain according to the fancy weather station.  I'll check my old fashioned rain gauge a bit later this morning.  Otherwise, there is not much on the agenda today.

Three interesting and different days to celebrate today.  Industrial hemp is important, and I'd try chocolate covered cashews.  I also remember kindergarten which was on the enclosed back porch of a private home since our school district did not offer kindergarten at that time.  It was a relatively small group of kids, and we had a good time.

An amusing quote from Douglas Adams.

The meal sounds like it would be good, but we'll pass on the drink and the wine.

We have been to Trinidad a few times, but have never made it to Tobago.

Elvis' "Heartbreak Hotel" was a big hit.  Between Elvis and Buddy Holly popular music changed forever.

@JazzyV  Vanessa, sending very, very positive thoughts for a successful surgery tomorrow, followed by pain free days.

@grapau27  Graham, thank you for letting us know about industrial hemp.  I hope Sarah is feeling better.

@smitty34877  Terry, it sounds like your house is hopping and everyone is having a good time.  What great news that Tana felt like joining everyone at dinner last night.

@Heartgrove  Jack, I hope more cruise lines follow MSC and provide better tours for those in non-folding scooters.

@cat shepard  Ann, I'm glad the weather is cooperating for your niece and grandnieces.  Enjoy the weather and the visit.

@0106  Tina, thanks for sharing the beautiful picture of the northern lights.

@RMLincoln  Maureen, safe travels tomorrow, and positive thoughts for a successful surgery for your DH on Tuesday.

Lenda

Thank you Lenda.

Sarah seems happy and it was a change of medication which made her poorly last week.

Tomorrow will be my lovely, kind late mam's 94th birthday her 12th in heaven.

She bought my first car for me in 1974 a 2 year old car and in 2010 the year before she died she bought me a brand new car which I kept for 10 years.

Yes, I was very pleased to see that they are providing assisted excursions. MSC is also very reasonable with what they charge for excursions. I say this after booking excursions on HAL yesterday for our Fall Transatlantic! We have been extremely pleased with excursions through MSC.
