I may want to book, but I don't want the higher price Plus. I know I could add it on board

hpeabody Posted June 17 Author #4 Share Posted June 17 @Spudd No, not Canadian. I am logged with my account that shows where I live I believe. 72.00 Canadian Dollars = 52.396801 US Dollars
Spudd Posted June 17 #5 Share Posted June 17 I hope they're not raising it to $72! I thought my Canadian dollars theory might be a good one but I guess not.

Thrak Posted June 17 #9 Share Posted June 17 Is this for a cruise that was booked with Standard pricing and you are now wanting to add Plus?
WisCruiser2 Posted June 17 #10 Share Posted June 17 Just looked on the website, it still says $60 for Plus.
Thrak Posted June 17 #11 Share Posted June 17 Hmmmm.... Have two booked for 2015. Checked both just now and it says $60. However... The other day I checked and saw the higher figure which led to my question above. Holly, you should likely just chalk it up to Princess having the C-Team of IT rather than the A-Team of IT. Check back in a few days and it may well have been sorted out.

robncruise Posted June 17 #13 Share Posted June 17 I think the That is a price NZ cruisers pay for Plus (actually $71.50 NZD) but does not include gratuities on a cruise outside Australia/ NZ So add another $26NZD if not sailing local where the gratuities are included in the fare.

I looked directly on Princess website. An hour later it was back to normal. Glitches... It was for a cruise out of Ft Lauderdale, and I am in the US. hpeabody Posted June 17 Author #16 Share Posted June 17 Thanks all for your replies. It seems the glitch has been corrected. Will now be able to book, but cabin I was looking at is now gone. I thought about that, but did not want the hassle of turning over to TA. I had my TA get on it already this morning. It is booked, I got the cabin I wanted. YAY! It has a reduced price and cabins are going quickly now. Phewwwwwww. 1
Wishing on a star Posted June 17 #19 Share Posted June 17 (edited) These 'glitches' can mean that something is going on. We are thinking of upgrading to Premier on one cruise, and deciding whether to go ahead and book a package on another. Might want to do that now? The voice out there is telling me that Princess is messing with these numbers... for some reason... and increases could be coming. Hopefully if they do this, they will announce it a few days before the 'new pricing' goes into effect. But, I would not make that assumption. Wishing on a star Posted June 17 #21 Share Posted June 17 I am wondering if we can hope for any advance notice. Princess has NOT been good about things like this lately. Not the same Princess I think we knew in years past.

We just 'need' one internet between us (we have 8 on our next cruise). Could possibly remove the CA, and just cash tip the room steward and at bars. That leaves a lot for alcohol, coffees, waters. at least at that price we will not automatically book PLUS

I don't tip in the mdr - no special requests unless a baked potato, extra butter is one. We have pre-dinner drinks and I will carry a double roadie. and now those drinks are adding up, huh?
