  1. That is what we need, solo deals, under $300 a day.
  2. Maybe Majestic has not yet reported the numbers to the appropriate authorities, apart from Tahiti. Let us live in hope.
  3. Thanks Geoff, you are only about 130km from Eden, looks like you will have the night there. Surely the Captain is not going to circle outside Eden all night. You might get the official notification at the midday report from the bridge.
  4. Great report there Geoff. The weather is getting better. Shame on those pax not wearing masks. Staff don't want confrontation thus no enforcement. I heard on the grapevine you are getting into Eden at 7pm this evening, not 7am tomorrow? Right or wrong? Sunday night in Eden would be a hoot, the only place open would be the Australia Hotel, lol. Enjoy the day and Sabatinis, plenty Spaget. Below is bridgecam just now.
  5. Update on Majestic Princess, gleaned from the roll call on CC. She is now 3 days in Papeete, due to high winds and seas. Eventually pax who tested negative were allowed off in Papeete but 120 who tested positive were not. Some local tour operators are not happy according to reports. So some issues happening. Crikey I hope things settle down before they get into NZ/Aust waters. Our Stu (Kiwi_cruiser) who is on board might enlighten us further.
  6. They go north first on Tuesday 11 October, bit dodgy down south at the moment. I just did a synopsis.
  7. OK guys, very early report on Coral Princess, sourced from the various ship trackers. She is currently about 30 km off the NSW Far South Coast, passing Ulladulla. Been a bumpy night for those on board I believe, they are in a Force 8 gale from the south and travelling slow, like 9 knots. Looks like the sea state is around 4 metres. Still raining down here. Sun loungers, deckchairs should be in ample supply today on Coral Princess. To those on board, enjoy the day.🤢🍸
  8. Surely you are cruising with your husband? I am watching harbour cam, you are sailing, lol.
  9. Great and comprehensive reporting. Welcome to Princess and I trust you come back new on Tuesday. Bon Voyage.
  10. When we did QM2, Sydney to HK in 2017. Most of ship's pax were Brits doing the worldie. So it was late Feb when we arrived in Brisbane and Airlie Beach, most Brits never got out of the a/c on the ship. It was really hot and humid. The tenders from the ship to Airlie were near empty due to the heat. I will be up at my sister's place at Currumbin for a week at Christmas, thank god she has a/c, lol. My eldest grandaughter is a Vet in Townsville, even though she went to JCU in Townsvegas for 5 years, she still has trouble coping with the heat, handling the big animals outside in that heat and humidity is hard work.
  11. I just had my first solo cruise, ok but not great and expensive for 1.
  12. How did check in/embarkation go today on Coral? Were there big lines like on Carnival Splendour last week?
  13. Down here at Batemans Bay, I was in Woolworths yesterday, probably a couple of hundred people in store, spotted 3 with masks. No masked up staff, not even in Deli. If we don't tighten up we will be like UK, big rise in cases, up 20%.
  14. Reasonable prices, but you have to get to Brisvegas.
  15. Just off Coral, no more choccies or towel animals, sad that. But the steward was still in cabin twice a day for making bed, cleaning bathroom, turn down, ice service, etc. They still do a remarkable job, my steward had 19 cabins.
  16. I watched it for a little while, to me it will end up like 'Big Brother' on the water. Lot of desperados.
  17. I did mention it to the Cunarders, I got egged...lol. They have no sense of humour, lol.
  18. NZ will be nervous. Hope it all settles down pre Sydney.
  19. Good one and if they have a domestic they have separate bedrooms, lol.
