Live From The Royal Princess

Hi All

 

The wait is over we are now only a hundred yards from the port gate and then the boarding line,

 

We have seen the ship, we have heard the ship, seen the fire works, just want to get on board and enjoy,

 

Have met lots of nice CC folks past few days you do not need a new multi million pound ship to have fun and a great time, but I am sure it will just to our enjoyment of meeting friends here in Southampoton.

 

We stayed in the Premier in West quay good location, close to everything,

 

only down side is the shopping mall next door as Mrs Shogun has already hit the shops big time,

 

as we normaly fly in same day, anything we have not packed we do with out, this time she has gone mad, we could use this , that might be handle bag after bag, now cases will be to heavy to fly home with,

 

next post will be in about 2 hurs I hope from the deck of the Royal Princess

Cheers, you're finally on!! I hope you enjoy your cruise..reviews haven't exactly been sparkling..can you confirm the negatives: smaller cabins & smaller balconies? NO promenade to walk around the ship? Wheelhouse Bar now part of the Steakhouse ( doesn't feel separate) ? and Positives: Atrium & piazza very nice, bars & lounges nice, pool deck water show at night, and Horizon Court greatly improoved? BTW, my ex was from Brechin ( near Dundee), any chance you or Mrs. Shogun sending me some mealie puddings??? We used to sneak about a dozen of those in our suitcase when we visited Scotland in the early 90's..really miss them still..have a Tennants for me to celebrate!! Looking forward to your reports..Cheers!

Hi All

 

Where to start

 

Checking went as good as it could with a thousand folk arriving a head of time

 

Got to cabin to find Mrs shogun had lost her hand bag

 

Panic more panic need to get off ship folk at gangway saying need to use crew access to get off

 

Once off need to get into bag check area so explain problem and we are escorted to correct area and we get the bag

 

However this is not first drama while at checking my name is called I am escorted down below to baggage handling please on case the kilt the knife now its not real but it is taken off me and told l will get it back when on ship

Got back on without being scanned so being a good passenger reported in and got scanned

So first thoughts of the ship its a Princess ship if you love the Princess product you will love the Royal

 

Been to spa if you like spas you will never leave this one its massive with its own little pool private room with TV bath treatment area all very VIP

 

crew spotting is fun so many.old faces

 

Even spotted a captain. From the Grand

 

Ship still has Princess CEO etc onboard nice to see hands on

 

Now not everything is 100% but sure these things will be.put right within hours. Just now no internet

 

Spotted small leak in spa so nothing of concern

 

Crew are extra nice big smiles so happy to see passengers

 

As to the balcony well l like insides so not an issue for me however can see those you enjoy a balcony needing to book a suite

 

Will post more once I have eaten
