I received $750 in Free Play for my cruise in February on the Enchantment.  How do they give you the money?  Chips, slots?

Promo chips or freeplay slots. For chips, it's like cash (play until you lose it).

Hey gang, finally getting a booking done. I did the online checkin 5 days ago. I got the Edocs and baggage tags. I can not pull up set sail pass. Checkin shows  all is ready. What gives with set sail ?

Dont know why royal does that-you get the email after you register, with only the edocs & luggage tags. To get your boarding passes, you have to go to your cruise list on the Royal website, & there you can print out your seapass & (luggage tag) also.

I just tried the usual login again. Under my name and my wife's. Still no go. The screen url name it sends me is OLCI, and it is mostly blank. I spoke with 2 RCCL reps early in week. Hey I even downloaded the app, and filled in that stuff. One said I may just have to pick it up at terminal check in.

You go to the cashier cage to sign for it. You can choose to add it to your SeaPass card as FreePlay so it's usable in slot machines or to get promo money chips which as you gamble using them get traded out for regular chips.

Does anyone know if you have an offer for OVB and all that website shows is guarantee fir that category will club royale have access to any cabins or have to put you in guarantee category?

I tried to call and sat on hold too long and gave up.

My recollection was that guarantee-only availability was insufficient (meaning you couldn't use the offer for a guarantee booking at all), but that memory is at least 10 years old, so have plenty of salt available. 🙂

I tried booking a guarantee cabin on an offer last month and was told it was not possible. I have been told the same before so your memory is still good 🙂

Got a regular mailed offer early summer, & they didnt have any jr suites left, so booked a big balcony. Couple of days later, noticed a junior suite quarantee was just put on the website, called about that & they changed my booking to it!! (it was still before the expiration of the offer) Was SO surprised, as I always thought you had to book an actual cabin for the casino offers!!! Doesn't hurt to call & ask if you see it.

My offers had completely evaporated for a while, but I see from USPS Informed Delivery that I'm getting comped balcony + $150 freeplay in the mail today. I checked the website and it is there, too, but I also see an interior cabin offer for "2023 COCOCAY SOIREE EVENT". I've not gotten any details on that, though.

I haven’t had any offer since the restart, but I did suddenly get two offers in the last two weeks. However they were completely pathetic (both were $100 off a cruise 😳😡). All I can figure out is it it’s some combination of the fact that to get to the 4000 points that I have for this year I did not lose a lot of money that I haven’t recouped from the promo base comps and I book 4 or so non-comp cruises each year ).

Our offers are poor as well and we have so many booked already that if I try to apply to anything already booked I’m only getting a fraction of the value.

also tried to upgrade from a JS to a CLS and the difference in price from when we booked JS to current pricing CLS is $1000 difference but they want $3000 to upgrade

We are getting way better offers from MSC - 1200 points on a cruise gets automatic 30% off so 1200 points off YC is better than meeting minimum points for free interior and when we were last on MSC they invited all passengers in casino booked cabin to enter $10k invited guest only slot tourney with 10 finalists all getting freeplay 1st place was $3k. And their slots were a LOT looser as well. It’s been a while since we had any decent play through on RC after restart.

Doing NCL for the first time in 9 years next month and Celebrity for the first time in a few years soon so will be interested in how they differ.

what was most frustrating was that on our last cruise dh and I sat next to each other on 3 card poker for the same length of time for the same average bet and he got way more points than me 🙄

I have a comped balcony for a cruise that I have booked for next spring not through casino. To book through casino and apply my free balcony will save me $200 🙄

Actually, this may be correct since you said "current pricing ... difference". The cost to upgrade is based on the difference from what you paid to what the current price is now; it's not the current delta between categories.

Problem is we are in comped JS so looked at what the “casino price” was at time of booking on invoice. As I saw only $1k difference between booking invoice and booking new CLS thought I would try but they will not consider the amount from the booking invoice. JS now fully booked and lots of CLS available  but they are saying upgrade cost is difference in cost in their system not from what was booked 🙄

Upgrading from comped cabins gets some really weird math. One was a comped balcony on a 5-night Bermuda cruise that we paid $130 to upgrade to a JS. Not too long after that, I saw the GS pricing was relatively low... cost to upgrade: $20.

I get the feeling there's some other number in there somewhere.

 • 2 weeks later...

Hey all:  longtime reader, firsttime replier.  🙂

I went on my first RCL cruise in almost a decade that returned a few weeks ago (week long Harmony cruise), but this time I'd spent time learning about the various casino comps possible reading here:

My friend & I starting from 0 points played Craps (and occasionally Blackjack) anytime the table was open:  both smoking and non-smoking had very weird/limited hours:  Sometimes the table would open at 4-5pm, and then would close at 7pm, then re-open sometime after 9pm as best we could tell (we had a late dinner seating).
We'd usually stay on the table until 1-3am.  The dealers really made things fun and we took good care of them too.

Coming home and waiting a couple weeks for things to settle, I wound up at a little over 500 points, and my initial online offer was $100 off my next booking.  A different friend has been interested in an Alaska cruise and I said I'd go along, so I went ahead and used the $100 off (better than nothing I guess).

Now checking the online offers a week or so later I see there's many ocean view rooms, anywhere from 2-9 nights.

I was wondering:  if the offer says `2022 NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER SAILINGS OFFER` does that mean it's comped (besides port fees and taxes)?  What do the "misc fees" usually wind up being?  It sounds like reading here upgrading from the initial window room offer is a mixed bag depending on what they have available?

Appreciate any insight/experience others who've taken advantage of the offers can lend!
