GRNY Posted November 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2018 I am cruising o the Emerald Princess January 18. On previous cruises, not Princess first time in the line, I have had a bottle of Baily's Irish Creme in my room for morning coffee. Can this happen on this cruise. The reservationist was not able to help me!

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Switch to HAL. You can buy alcohol from either HAL's site or from room service once on the ship for your cabin.
capriccio Posted November 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2018 I don't see Bailey's on the list of booze you can buy in advance for your cabin: https://www.princess.com/learn/cruise-gifts-celebrations/gifts-and-services/culinary-delights-wine/
paul929207 Posted November 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2018 Princess allows you to purchase alcohol from them for use in your cabin. I don't know if Baily's is available.
crystalspin Posted November 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2018 Rum/Coconut Rum is good in coffee. Just saying.
Rare MicCanberra Posted November 19, 2018 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2018 Princess only allows two bottles of wine per stateroom to be brought on board at embarkation. All other alcohol needs to be bought on board, and not as duty free (which is given on the last night f the cruise). Some alcohol can be bought pre-cruise as a gift and provided for in room consumption. https://www.princess.com/learn/cruise-gifts-celebrations/gifts-and-services/culinary-delights-wine/ As mentioned, Baileys doesn't appear on the list, perhaps call them. Underwatr Posted November 19, 2018 #8 Share Posted November 19, 2018 If all else fails, order a glass of Baileys without ice in a bar and carry it to your room the night before.

The OP is NOT cruising this line and what you can/can't do on HAL or any other line the OP is not sailing on has NO relevance on his/her situation. 🙄 Edited November 19, 2018 by TruckerDave
Heidi13 Posted November 21, 2018 #10 Share Posted November 21, 2018 Princess does have bottles available in one of the gift shops, but they are expensive for use on the ship. Can't remember if Baileys is available. Might be best picking up a drink from a bar every evening.

Heidi13 Posted November 21, 2018 #12 Share Posted November 21, 2018 If you want to bring alcohol aboard and be treated like an adult, avoid the mainstream lines and check out premium lines. Viking Ocean has no restrictions on bringing alcohol aboard at embarkation, or any other port. They will even open bottles of wine in the MDR or specialty restaurants at NO charge. Even provide glasses in the bars.
Underwatr Posted November 21, 2018 #13 Share Posted November 21, 2018 (edited) Cunard as well (in allowing carry-on liquor, but they still charge corkage in the MDR). I think they're a little more accessible than the true premium lines like Seabourn and Viking Ocean. Edited November 21, 2018 by Underwatr
jocap Posted November 21, 2018 #14 Share Posted November 21, 2018 -And P&O, which allows 1 litre of alcohol, not specifically wine.
GRNY Posted November 23, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted November 23, 2018 OK enough about my addiction to morning Baileys! I'll figure it out.
