You no longer have to receive an e mail.  There is a spot on the website as referenced above that at 30 days from sailing you can log in and see your upgrade offers.

Thanks for the link. I was able to use it to place a bid for our July cruise. Also tried it for our August cruise but for that one, got the “must be within 30 days” message.

No you can’t. Once you put an offer in if Royal accepts it the offer it is final.

You are correct:

Can I reject the upgrade after it is accepted?

No. Once a bid is accepted, the card you used to register your bid will be charged immediately. The upgrade amount paid is final and non-refundable. Royal Caribbean does not charge a fee, however, the card issuer may charge a foreign processing fee.

You have to log in first and then go to the link.

I did.  Logged in under our name and RCI double secret password (LOL).

There was no where on the page to find out where to see offers.

It provided all other information of our cruises booked, history and such, but no where does it show bidding.  😞

Thanks though

You log in and then go back to the main Royal page and all the way at the bottom will be the link to the upgrade program.

OMG

It worked,

Thanks a bunch.

Yup, at least I know I have a better shot at winning the Power ball, than getting an upgrade or should I say Bid and pay.

Thanks again

Awesome!!!

i was on two cruises and never received an e mail...at least now I can play.

Just got back today from Explorer , we had bid £200 pp , just over the minimum required , to move from inside to balcony .  We received the commiseration / unsuccessful e.mail the morning of the cruise ! So glad we were not successful as we were upgraded once we boarded the ship after sail away . Saved ourselves £400 thank you very much.

I don’t think we would bother with the programme in the future and be happy with what we originally booked .

But you were correct in that if you didn't get an email, that website might not work for that person.

We have reports throughout the thread that the bidding is targeted, so just putting your reservation number and last name into the website won't fix the problem of never getting the bid invite.

I have never received the emails but I accessed my Uk booking via the link I posted and there were 3 categories open for bids.

I have no interest as I have a coveted aft and you don’t get double points for suites.

Perhaps on my upcoming Oasis or Anthem cruises I may try...because at least you get CK

Wow you were lucky. Had you unpacked? How did they tell you, by phone? I've never heard that happening before without asking for an upgrade.

Yes we had unpacked and received a phone call.

I think it may have been a preemptive move , I mentioned something to our room steward , before I could even investigate further  we got upgraded 😆

Regardless  the reason it has been a long , long time since we had a nice phone call like that. The ship was supposed to be full. Still wouldn’t do the bid in future .

Actually I have been upgraded once without bidding or asking so ignore the last part of my post. It just seems strange to be given it once the ship has sailed.

Ok I’m answering my own question, lol. I called Club Royale and they said that I could still participate in Royal Up. However they told me that people receive the email at random which was news to me. I assumed everyone received the email. I’m sailing on the Symphony of the Seas 8/24/2019. Has anyone received an email yet? I know that it is more likely to receive it closer to the sailing, however I read on this board that other cruisers on other ships have received it months in advance.

Why not just upgrade your cabin you now have instead of “gambling “ on the Royal Up?

Great joke! 😂 They got a cabin through casino play, so you are wondering at their choice to gamble on a better cabin for less money???

Lol! Yes, the Royal Up seems like another opportunity to gamble. But actually the reason I’m hesitating to just book the upgrade now is the price point. I’ve upgraded to GS in the past for less than half than it would cost me now on the Symphony. I do love the suites lounge and the other perks that come with the GS but not sure it’s worth the extra $.
